it requires a conditional formula, built around a nested IF statement...

say column A, Cell 1 had the number 9

then say cell 1 of column B had your first +1

the formula would be

=IF(((A1+1)<10),(A1+1),((A1+1)-10))

format is

=IF(condition, do if true, do if false)

so, the test, or condition, will see if A1+1 is less than 10

if TRUE, just add 1 (7 becomes 8, 0 becomes 1 etc)

if FALSE, add 1, then subtract 10 (9+1=10, then -10=0)

change the 1 to whatever step you... [ More ]

Can someone please help me with a simple Excel formula?

I'm looking to create a simple spreadsheet which incorporates additives, ie, the 123 method, or the 023, or one up/one down. When I make the speadsheet, what I need to do is to drop the tens digit so it does not carry it over as per basic lottery math.

Thanks in advance for any help
