The stars denote the membership level of the person.

1 star = Standard (free) member

2 stars = Gold member

3 stars = Platinum member

4 stars = Forum Moderator

5 stars = Forum Administrator (me

Sure. It takes a lot of two things to make this web site work: time and money.

For the chat, the same thing applies.

If there is something like chat that very few people utilize, it becomes difficult to justify the amount of time it takes to manage it.

Also, one of the problems with chat is that the discussions are not well-suited for re-use later on. With a forum post, anyone can come onto the forum days afterwards and get the full benefit of the discussion, but with a chat if you'r... [ More ]

this is 5 to 7 pst time. the last month i have been trying to get in on the chat. by the time i either have dinner or running around. chat time is over and done with and i missed out again. if you don't want to turn it on in the evenings how about expanding the hours on sunday to more than two hours? i have had some interesting conversations on the chat and i have sat and listened to some boring things too. i vote in expanding the hours of the chat. i will think about you when i win the big one.... There simply isn't the overwhelming interest level necessary to support 24/7 chat. As it is, the most people on the chat on Sunday evenings is about 20 or so, but most of the time like 6-10. If it was all the time there would be many times where nobody at all (or 1 or 2 people) would be online, and I just don't want to invest a lot of time in something that is so sparsely used.

Whats the possibility of letting the chat room run non-stop 24/7? I am not sure if it's a bandwith or server space problem, but thought I would throw the idea on the table.
