Recovering from what? Making too much money? They have never posted a loss! They have never come close to posting a loss. Their profits go up every single time! This is not General Motors, at the whim of some greedy union members. This is the lottery. Lines form around corners to loose money. Zero compitetion! Mega Millions probably saw an increase in multi-draw tickets hoping for a record run which carried over to these draws since the jackpot was hit. Or maybe Mega Millions had starting jackpot Lotto Fever!-weshar75

Bradly_60, I think players were hoping the MM Jackpot would have rolled for Friday 3/3. That's why the jackpot ran up for both MM and PB lately.

Think of all the small wins from the MM run up that were used in playing last night's game. There probably were some small PB wins that went into last night's drawing as well.

This has to be a new record. The sales data is amazing also. They sold 20.1 million tickets for this last drawing. I am assuming it is from the previous large jackpot, but the rollover has never been that much. Usually at the minimum $12 million jackpot they sell around $13,000,000 in tickets. Thats almost more than a 50% increase. This jackpot run will break records on every jackpot if it stays this way. Could this be the first $400,000,000 jackpot.
