Don't do WA state quinto. Odds are 1:2.5 million. 5/52 but the biggest prize has been 4.7 million in cash.

Re complete drawings for 5/39:

I have a csv file importable into Excel (12.5Mb) or an Excel file (22.5Mb) for the 5/39 lottery matrix containing all possible drawings with drawing numbers that I can send you if you're still interested. The size of the files can be reduced by deleting the drawing numbers. PM to exchange address info if wanted.

Lottaloot, I really like Gail's Chart #4 to anticipate hitting numbers for the Cash 5. My suggestion is to track your Cash 5 game's frequency of repeating, adjacent, and consecutive numbers. Good luck to you.

Thanks RJOh, I used to play the 5/37, 10 tickets using all 37 numbers and did ok with it hitting 2, 3, 4 number wins. lottaloot didn't explain things very well and I didn't know that he/she wanted to play 10,000 tickets. I just made up those line quickly using Covermaster for a minimum win.

The odds of matching 2 is 1:10, so playing 10 lines should be enough to get a $1 win most of the time.

When checking your 24 lines wheel with all 441 Ohio Rolling Cash5 records it matched two 1112 times - about 3 times each draw, matched three 104 times - 1/4 of the time and matched 4 one time. Rearranging those numbers might get a match5 and waiting till the jackpot roll to $300K+ could make it worth while.

Lottaloot,

Ask CalifDude about his 2 of 5 hits in CA. If you're playing all 39 numbers you will have enough $1 winners to recoup some of your losses. Playing 24 lines you will get some 2 of 5's which means that you're buying your 24 lines at a discount. Maybe only $5 but that's a 20% discount on your purchase.

Just my opinion.

In the Michigan Fantasy 5 you can play all 39 numbers in 24 combinations (tickets) and have a guaranteed 2 number winning ticket.

The MI 5/39 game sounds like it's set up exacly like IL Little Lotto with regard to payouts and rollovers. A fun game with "reasonable" odds of hitting the jackpot and usually there is only one winner. It is very popular in IL. The final jackpot is always higher than the estimated jackpot which indicates people are playing it. The 3 of 5 and 4 of 5 payouts are much lower than the odds, but the inclusion of a $1 payout for matching 2 of 5 and the rollovers make up for it.

It used to be 5/30 with a constant jackpot of $200,000 for five out of five but an aggragate payoff for 4 and 3 out of 5, depending if the jackpot was hit or not. In other words, if you had 4 out of 5 on a night that no one had 5 out of 5 you won a lot more for the 4.

Lotta, if anyone can do it, I am sure you will. BUT, I ask you to take into consideration the following:

1) No 5 number game has ever occurred more then a few thousand times.

2) Even if you combine ALL the 5 number games across the US, you will still only have about 10% of the possible combinations produced.

Instead, ruther then evaluate against such a huge obstacle, might I suggest a different approach. Consider comparative analysis. List ALL the 5 numbers for each state. Then, look f... [ More ]

where a represents the number of balls in the drawing.

lottaloot, there are various Pick 5 games. Wisconsin's is called Badger 5 and it's a 5/31 game. Pick 5 is not standardized like Pick 3 and Pick 4 (having a finite amount of digits/numbers)

I can only tell you that in our 5/31 game there are 169,911 combinations.

most of the lottery games are usually a 5/39 matrix.i think michigan is too i'm not sure.......there are certain ones with 34 or 35 numbers a couple with 40 or over but 5/39 is the norm.

NJ Cash5 has all the recent data (http://www.state.nj.us/lottery/games/1-3-3_jc5_history.shtml), I would assume other states have a similar page. I used to know where the NJ C5 downloadable delimited data was, but forgot.

So if I understand this correctly, that's 575,757 tickets.

If that's so, the journey ends here. It took FOREVER for me to get all 10,000 pick 4 combinations into excel.

I'll rack my little pebble brain for sure trying to get 575,757 combinations into excel.

I have grown a little bored with pick 3 tracking would like to take a stab at pick 5 for a minute or two.

Can someone explain what the number range is so that I can attempt to make an excel spreadsheet track these hits as well
