For a large purchase of tickets I think BC has the best system since you can just purchase tickets on the internet. You don't have to deal with physical tickets and the results are instantly known. You are getting way more tickets than I am. Good luck. I'm also getting a few tickets for 6/49 as a back up.

We manually check out tickets first most times it takes 2 of us 2 hours, we do miss some small wins but after all we do look for a big win, we have a paper set up to record our results we are within $50.00 most of the times and within 10 to 20 free plays, then its off to the clerk, I live in a very small town so I go when its not busy and then ot takes about a hour or so to confirm everything, Usually we have 3 or 4 people filling in tickets we need to fill in 1000 boards then the other 2000 boa... The ticket sellers in Canada all have a machine that you stick the top half of your ticket into it tells you if you have any winners. Takes 2 seconds.

One of the advantages of using software to pick your numbers is you can usually check your numbers against the winning numbers easily, the hard work is making out the cards. If you buy QPs, then the hard work is checking your tickets after the drawing. I would think anyone planning to play 2000 lines would have a plan before they played.

I would run several simulations before I actually played to find problems and to develop a strategy.

Part of it was a change made to how they deal with jackpots in Super 7. I kind of doubt they had 32.5 million unclaimed. Most bonus drawings are far smaller than this.

The reason the jackpot went up after a win is because it is a BONUS jackpot. Money not claimed after one year is placed in a bonus pool to be given out with promotions and bonus jackpots.

My understanding is that US lotteries keep unclaimed money. This is why I love Canadian lotteries even though I do play US lotteries when the jackpots are large.

Looking at the history of this run the prize in order has been 35, 30, 25, 20, 17, 15, 12, 10, 5, 2.5

What I don't understand is that there was a winner at $30M yet now its $35M. Don't get me wrong I don't care how it gets big. I just love the fact that people keep winning yet the prize keeps getting bigger. Maybe that's why the prize only grows at 5M per draw. It might have gone up faster if no one won. I would doubt they would hold a $35M bonus draw if there is a winner at $30M but who knows. They had a winner at $17M but the next prize was 20. Hard to say where it's going. I wasn't aware that the $20 million was a bonus pot. Usually bonus pots are for that pot only. I know I might get tickets at 35 and if it can hit 40 I definately will.

Hard to say. I'm sure it depends on sales. The record pot for Super 7 is 37 million. I would guess this was listed as 35 million. When 6/49 was listed as having a $40 million pot the actual pot ended up being over 50 million. Super 7 might not have the sales that 6/49 does. I don't think sales will really take off unless it can break 40 million.

I'm also curious about how to play. The BC site isn't very helpfull. I know you get 3 plays for $2CN but can you choose the numbers for the play? There are no pictures of what the BC playslips look like. Also it looks like some provences let you choose all three and some give 2 quickpicks. Just wondering about BC retail since their website just is geared towards selling tickets online.

Retail lady where I buy most of our tickets says nothing official but claims to know someone who knows some one and says the $35 is coming on May 5.

until this big Jackpot we had stopped doing the Super 7 since the rearranging of the lower prizes, $100 for 5 correct didn't hack it for us. Do you know if the bonus draws go till May 5th? I called the Ontario office and they reported that each bonus draw is being decided one at a time. Maybe BC has pre-announced the bonus draws. The BC toll free number does not work from here.

If I ever get the nerve to try that again, I will probably run lots of simulations before actually trying it to convince myself it makes sense. Nothing wrong with picking a thousand combinations on paper and seeing what would have happened had I really played them and it's cost effective.

Before I retired I had a system that I had gotten lucky a couple of times with and one of my co-worker heard me say I could do even better if I spent a little more money, so he got together 9 co-workers with $50 to add $450 to my $50 to buy $500 dollars worth of Ohio Super Lotto tickets when the jackpot was over $20M. I and another co-worker made out the 50 cards by hand and bought the tickets and we didn't win even a small prize. I never had the nerves to try that again.

How did you get 20 people to contribute $400 each?

I have organized lottery groups for many years. The most I have collected is $30 per person. Even that was not easy. The only time my groups have spent a lot of money per person on a draw was when we used winnings from a previous win. For example, once we won around $2,000 and spent the whole amount on one draw. All members were OK with that becuase we won the money and they felt the money was not coming out of their pocket

I find that amazing. No pun intended. Each player is paying $400 to participate in the pool. I am in many Lotto 649 and Super 7 pools in Canada but I have never seen a pool with that high a cost to participate.

Your math does not add up. If think you meant to say you are buying a total of 4000 tickets and not 3000.
