Imagine this:

You're climbing upwards through the ceiling and come through the bottom of a swimming pool atop the roof of a six story building, and around the pool area, there are party members wondering about, and talking about different things.

As you shake the water off, You look up to the right and see the female host in an extravagant dress looking at you strangely while still speaking to her friend, next to her, and saying the following to you, as she peered through your eyes.

That is how I first discovered lucid dreaming.

When I was a young lad, this would happen alot. Many years later I did some research and found out that it is what ayenowitall said, it's sleep paralysis.

The brain automatically paralyzes the body during a nightmare, in order to not hurt yourself, either by waving your hands around or any other bodily movement which might be hazardous.

After many years of research and concentration, I was able to take control when in that situation came.... [ More ]

LOTTOMIKE:

I believe aye' made the correct call on this one. I saw a program on Discovery about this; it's a very common malady, usually caused by undue stress or an unresolved conflict.

Yes when I won the Powerball in my dreams, and I absolutey refused to wake up. Can't wait for the reality, then I won't need to sleep...

ever had one of those dreams where you were asleep and in your sleep you were ready to get up but you were stuck in your dream and couldn't get up.i had one of those a while back.......
