AVG is excellent virus protection and the home edition is totally free.

I suggest that people who don't have a problem, not to worry. Do Not investigate this if you haven't experienced any problems.

This is only for people like me with problems. Blocks should be taken seriously and left alone.

I don't know anything about their virus software but one thing sending a red flag up for me is that I have a custom HOSTS file installed to prevent ad redirection and parasites, which is preventing me from reaching their site after trying several different links to it.

By the way, for something non-lottery-related, I'm usually pretty relaxed about links, especially something educational or helpful. The normal rules about not posting spam always apply, but for something like this, where you're just trying to help someone find something, there is really no problem. I'm very happy that the software worked for you. I just have a nagging suspicion about it, and there are some negative posts around the internet about it.

Try doing a google search on winantivirus. In fact, just click this link.

I'm not saying don't use that software , but do exercise the normal caution that you should whenever considering adding something to your PC.

It wasn't made in 2006 because I saw a 2005 version. What I really meant to say was that it collected info about the latest threats and came out with a new version for 2006.

Well I had to finally install a very highly recomended anti-virus software that did the job.

Fifty bucks and a few hours later did the job. A couple of smaller scans and the effort and hassle will be over.

This was by far, the best fifty bucks I've ever spent on my computer. It blows all the others out of the water because it was made in 2006 and knows of all the recent worms, trojans, hijackers and how they enter through the back door.

A new mass-mailing worm was discovered on January 27. It is being called

Black Worm, BlackMal, Kama Sutra or MyWife. On February 3rd and the 3rd

Try the first link because that's for spyware.

Also make sure your Trend anti-virus is up to date with its new patterns if you haven't already. Mine's on auto-update, auto scan.

Rjoh: You maybe right because I tried using a trial version of a 3D software and that might be the case. I'll have to remove it .

Some free software have pop-up features in them. I was using a free program to check my computer clock with a international clock and when I deleted it, pop-up stopped.

Black worm

I think I've been infected with a black worm virus that's been started in Feb.

I've ran my ad-aware 10 times already, but still nothing. Pop-up ads still come and ad-aware says there are some components that can't be deleted.

Does anyone know of a free removal tool?

They want 50 bucks for me to remove this.
