I think the reason why is obvious; sirbrad chose the wrong man to pick a fight with.

I can't say I blame Todd for doing it either. I doubt the reason he hosts this website is for the money. In fact, given the time and money involved in keeping this site going plus the cost of upgrades, I would be surprised if he makes that much, if any. I think he does it because he enjoys it and comments like the one sirbrad made just is bad the fun right out of it.

I'm kind of surprised that there is no IP logging per post. Otherwise you wouldn't know who has multiple accounts, spamming, etc. Any IP problems like blocking a common IP a hotel uses etc could be handled by Todd or both Todd and Lucky. I'm guessing Lucky also keeps track of who the legitimate users of this website are.

There are no holes to patch, it's not something that is the fault of the business person and we can not do much about it, the problem is the person who does it to the business person! I am glad Todd exposed him from one Internet Business person to another hey we can all look out for that person. It's not very pleasant to get stolen from! Also us business people would be the first to get hung if we pulled crap like that to customers

It is a good Idea, and I had to do it on my site one time because someone was stealing from me so I found the culprit and blocked the address. Just one little note though when you do this you can block other people from your site too because IP address change unfortunately and my hits went way down again because it blocked other people too(opps). But it did work for a while anyway because once they were blocked for about 2 months they never tried to come back on.

I understand your frustration. I am also a paid platium member and I don't really use the services that I could however, I do agree it is here and it is up to you to take the advantage of it. Considering that you have to deal with spammers and other miscreants this isn't a surprise. Even paypal can have problems for vendors that use it. I wish I could give advise on how to prevent people from stiffing you but I've seen it done to almost every business.

Have you ever considered using paypal to accept payments? Some people like to buy memberships with their paypal accounts. I have been in business on the Internet for 3 and a half years and all I ever used to accept money was paypal and as of yet I have had no problems. It means he charged the payment to his credit card, I got the money, and then he called his credit card company and canceled the charge. It's called a chargeback and people who do it are the lowest of the low.
