I voted on the way home from work, which is when I purchase a large % of the time. But I also buy online, and on weekends I go when I have the free time. I have three favorite pit stops on the way home. Now as soon as they have Cash 5 online, and when Betslips has both a morning AND evening cutoff, I'll be doing more online than at the green machine

At different times. But, I am usually in a hurry when the jackpot of my interest gets extraordinarily big...usually right after the announcement of jackpot rollover.

Usually at night after dinner. The stores are less crowded after 8. I don't lose power often, but in the summer if we have a potentially bad storm on the way, I will buy tickets in advance for 2 or more plays. I lost power for 3 days after Charley and when Wilma hit, I couldn't buy tickets even a week after the power was restored, because the terminals were still down. I drove a few miles and was able to get them at an Albertson's up the road, but I now add to my hurricane preparedness list can... [ More ]

I usually buy my tickets within an hour of the drawings unless I am traveling out of state to buy PowerBall tickets. For me, part of the entertainment of playing the lotteries is picking my numbers, so I usually pick several groups of numbers to play and don't usually decide which group to play and make out my cards until an hour before the drawings. If I don't get around to making out cards, I don't play and I'm usually money ahead and it just as entertaining.

I usually buy mine at the last minute for some reason. Always about 1 hour to 30 minutes before the draw which is right about the cut off point. Sometimes I get behind someone that has about 500 numbers on playslips and I have to rush out to another retailer. Some folks cant seem to get it straight what they want to play so they are telling the cashier more numbers without a slip even after their 500 numbers. This is pick 3. Go figure. I better get an earlier start.

I'm retired so don't have a regular schedule. Therefore, I buy them whenever I go out to get groceries, go to a meeting or whatever, at various times. Some times I miss even when the MM jackpot is over $50 million or the state jackpot over $10 million, as I don't make a special trip just for that.
