Agree with both Tenaj and Emily on their posts. Many books on creative visualization which is holding a picture in your mind of how you intend things to be for yourself which is very much like casting a spell .... just not so much ceremony and ritual surrounding it.

Best to avoid negative thinking because it comes back home to roost and its effects are cumulative.

Someone buying a spell for $30 shows how desperate we can become, although for many, $30 is a drop in the bucket. I'm a real skeptic, but one night I was in pain and went to a charismatic church. Thanks for all the well wishes and advice. I'm surprised there are so many spell believers on this board. I'm not sure how much I believe, but I figured I'd cover all my bases. I don't think it's a "scam", I think the person who sells spells does cast them, I'm just not sure they're all that effective. And about those mystery auctions, you're right, those ARE scams. Never bid on one of those bad boys.

There are usually "spells" for sale on ebay for many things. Legitimate sellers view these with low regard and comments pop up about these scams ocassionally on the ebay community forums.

I would put these "spells" just above the "Mystery Auctions" in credibility. For those who don't know what "Mystery Auctions" are, do an ebay search for Mystery Auction and you will see some slick scams...

And please do not bid on any of these mystery auctions... So many scams!

here is couple of spells for free:

1. boil a lemon, cut it in quarters, put in brown paper bag, throw brown paper bag in sewer and place 1 quarter on each corner of the sewer.

2. place a glass of water under your bed with a bit of sugar for a couple of nights (2 nights)...so you will dream number.

I wonder if that person also posts spells for sale on eBay for casino gambling. That text you received seems geared much more toward casino gambling.

There is almost nothing regarding lotteries. You'd think for $30 a pop they could create an e-mail geared specifically to lotteries. You'd think they could include things like quick picks, as you mentioned.

Maybe that would be a good way to get your money back.

This is a scam. One interesting thing some of these sellers do is to make the "guarantee" 90 days or so, because when it doesn't work after 90 days you can no longer leave negative feedback on ebay and it makes it more difficult to collect a refund.

If you have already purchased one of these spells (hopefully you paid by credit card through PayPal), demand a refund. If the seller resists a refund within 3 days, dispute the charge through PayPal and tell the seller you are going to post negati... [ More ]
