Your assumption is wrong, you know even less about the daily games than I was giving you credit for.

In truth, it is exactly the inverse of what you said.

The more people who play those games, the better that it is for the state lotteries, the more money that they will make, as they well know for a fact.

Beware! Don't mess with a good thing for the state lotteries or it might turn sour on them.

Actually, for Powerball, 30.28855% of sales goes to the jackpot, so 19.71145% goes toward the set prizes; for Mega Millions, 31.8% of sales goes to the jackpot, so 18.2% goes toward the set prizes.

States with a flat payout for Pick-3/4 will suspend sales on numbers that are over subscribed.

States with a pari-mutuel payout don't have that problem. BobP

50% of sales going to the States is no big secret, it written in their laws and clearly stated on most of their websites. On most of the states websites for PowerBall and MegaMillions it's stated that 32% of local sales goes to the jackpot pool, 18% goes to pay off the local winners of 5+0 and less and the rest goes to the states. RJOh is what you are saying is true then that implies that the state purposely alters the results, even though is not true...running a lottery is like running a bussines...so tell me something then RJOh why the corporation increases a number in a game, like mega millions/powerball (not sure which one is it)...I heard that they added like 3 numbers more or something...I will really appreciate your response..and thanks..gracias..

Most State lottery games only use 50% of sales to payout prizes by design so no matter the numbers of players, 50 of every dollar spent is profit for the states.

guys i feel that pick3 and pick4 lottery games can be compared to a ship...Just the same way a ship has a maximun capacity of Passengers it can hold so is the pick3 and pick4 games...Sort of speak: there is a limit to the amount of players these games can hold/withstand/carry before the lottery corporation starts loosing money and have to end up increase the numbers of the game...
