Exactly, $1 straight/box is 290 if it comes straight because if it comes straight u get 250 for the straight and 40 for the box=$290 If u only get it in the box u get $40. U r right.

The way I'm reading it is $1 straight box pays $290 for a straight hit or $40 if it's not straight, a $1 box pays $80 no matter how it hits.

The only * says if all numbers are different ... in other words, no one would play 222 box .

They're saying that for 1.00 you can play a .50 STR and .50 BOX on the same number. STR pays 250 and BOX pays 40, total 290 for a STR/BOX combination play. STR for 1.00 is like two STR for .50 (pays 500), and 1.00 BOX pays 40 + 40 = 80. If you did STR/BOX combo 1.00 and only BOX comes out, only .50 went toward BOX, so it's 40.

They could have said it as .50 Straight Box $290 / $40 (total $1.00

Maybe I'm missing something but why go for $80 for a Box shen a straight box pays $290 / $40. Is the additional $40 out of sequence worth passing up $290 if your numbers are in sequence... [ More ]
