The El Gordo does fine in spain but with all the loteries available in the U.S. and Canada I simply don't think players could wait a year.

Good question. Maybe each state would hook up their terminal to a central computer. Or maybe something else. I never thought of that.

The big problem with pre-printed tickets is scams. McDonalds plus numberous state lotteries have had to many problems with it.

Only way it would work would be like the original lottery tickets in the 70's. Tickets have random numbers on them and a ball drawing on the date picks the winner. Knowing modern lotteries in the US though the Billion would be an inflated annuity like Pepsi Billions. The idea of the Powerball and Mega Millions states joining forces on something has been floated around for a while. I've also seen the success of the Millionaire Raffle here in PA. And we've all seen how big jackpots get people out buying tickets in droves. So, how about this.

A $20 Raffle with 500,000,000 tickets being sold in every Powerball and Mega Millions state (maybe even Florida), and among those:
