Well, for starters it is not in IL. When you do not have something, sometimes you wishe you had it. :))

But seriously: I like this game. You can decide how many numbers you play. If you play 5 then odds (1:1551 I think) are almost as fun as PICK3 odds but of course you are paid for 4of5, 3of5 too.

If you are more serious you can play all 10 numbers and it is still fun, because they draw 20 numbers anyway.

Depending how many numbers you play you feel like it is completly different

CASH Only, I think people in Illinois don't want their lotto to go to a 5+1 game because they already had Mega Millions. That's why they focus on Mega Millions more than their own lotto.

Illinois Lotto seems to be a forgotten game. It once had the nation's highest jackpot at $69 million, back in the annuity-only days. This was April 1989. It was broken later in the month by PA Super 7.

To be honest in the future I don't see many games like Instate lottos because everyone is going for the bigger prizes with PB and MM.

Texas and WA state went to 5+1 games. Since then they have gone back to the classic lotto format.

$750,000 for a 5/30???!!!?!!?! The odds of matching 5 are only one in 142,506. That wouldn't even work in a 6/30. But yeah, 5/30 would be good. There are plenty of other jackpotting 5/39's in the world.

And back to the subject of regular Lotto, Illinois has the best straight pick-6 in the nation. I hope it never changes.

I agree with curt777....to restore little lotto back to the way it was...with a increase in the payout...or at the very least...to have a rollover.

Illinois already has a 5+1 game. Mega Millions. Which sux! I hate that stoopid game. Odds are a waste of a buck, and it never gets to even 400 million. BORING! I say, re-do Little Lotto like it was before: Numbers only go to 30 max. Bump up the grand prize from 100K to 750K and make the match for 4/5 and 3/5 higher, and parimutuel. I say, lets have a LOT more everyday winners of some half decent $$ instead of one single person grabbing a big pot every 4 days....

Illinois Lotto has always been a classic six-number game. About 20 years ago, IL tried a Lotto 7 , which lasted less than a year; it was replaced by Little Lotto.
