Made a caculation error there.

6766 --> 6 + 7 + 6 + 6 = 25 --> the shortsum is 5 (the last significant digit, some people call it i believe)

6522 --> 6 + 5 + 2 + 2 = 15 --> shortsum 5

Also If I remember correctly you are posting your Pick 3 Duke picks and then letting them ride for 5 days before you make a new selection for them. You enter the previous mid/eve pick 4 draw of that state into Duke for your new picks for that state for the next 5 days correct?

Well, like i wrote, shortsum 5 did come back with 6522 yesterday evening...

It skipped only one draw, cleaning up sum 15!

I hope someone nailed it.

i only tested with evening-draws.

But that was from june 23, so how many days does the combo's stay usable?

If more than 1 day, do you add the combo's from the next draw also?

In the end, after a few days, you'll end up with quite an amount of combo's...

Everything concerning numbers can be programmed.

But i learned the hard way doing this for pick3, without setting some rules from the beginning.

I think i can have a version that handles boxed combo's ready by tonight (or tomorrow, b/c it's World cup soccer, France playing Portugal tonight

I have written such a tool for pick3, using pairs.

I learned that it was not as easy as i first thought it would be. I can imagine doing this for pick4 will even be harder. (ofcourse, i used it along with drawhistory and the wheeling-engine, which made it all that little more difficult)

TN eve, 6766 = shortsum 5

Shortsum 5 was out for 119 draws!!! (all time record in pick4)

Been playing this shortsum for 5 draws, but missed that triple yesterday... it was the first time in TN that a triple followed a triple.

Anyway, sum 15 is still out, 120 draws, with an average skip of 19.77 draws. So expect shortsum 5 to come back soon.

i think the combination base on pair like this:

pick 3 base

ABC - ABD = ABCD (if AB then ABcd)

ABC - ACD = ABCD (if AC then AbCd)

ABD - BCD = ABCD (if BD then aBcD)

pair base (this is the "mess up" step because you create multiple condition

If you could write a program that takes the output of Duke - 36 picks...

and reads the first two digits of each pick, the last two digits of each pick and the first and last digits of each pick.

When it finds pair matches from that step, it will eliminate one of those pairs and generate a pick 4 number using the other pair and the leftover digits from both picks...

ABC - EFG - HIJ - DBA - JGF - KLM - JFH

would produce DABC, IHJF, GJHF

and yes, all possible types of picks would be

I believe this might be based on the fact that a pick3-combo often repeats 2 to 4 times within a draw-range of 20 draws. (except for the triple-combo's)

A pick3-combo with 3 different digits has a skip-average between 35 and 55 draws,

a pick3-combo with 2 different digits has a skip-average between 80 and 120,

and a triple has an average of 200 to 400 draws.

For goes: give or take a few

Straight pick3-combo's all have an average from 200 to 250 (some like the extreme ofcourse...)

You can help him or somebody else if you explain in more detail exactly what it is that you are trying to do and or why do you want this done and or how are you going to use these.

Pick 3 numbers can be hooked up in many ways to make pick 4 numbers, in which way do you want them hooked?

What 36 combos are you using? Are they also boxed combos or straight?
