Yes, there are quite a few wheels around to chose from. I'm not trying to push any one wheeling system.....just wanted to explain what works for me.....in this case it was GH's.... So far I haven't found one with more flexibility and tracking capabilities.

Thank you for sharing. I don't have nor need the GH wheels. These days very good wheels can be found here on LP and elsewhere. Also I use a couple of other programs just to see how they compare, but the programs are not as good in many cases as the wheels you find already made up.

A 3if4/16 is 32 tickets. Not bad. I will try that.

I just did a simple wheel test on one of the 4if4's on the Resources page...came up with 200 some combos...backtested with SC Palmetto Cash 5...it hit a jackpot on one of those draws. I wish I had written it down, but got me excited. I did the wheel with the highest frequencies drawn in the past 100 draws. That seemed to work, and gave a bunch of 4-number prizes over the past 30 draws or so. Profitable there anyway.

JD - my system is quite simple (not a system at all, actually). Using Gail Howard's P5 wheeling program, I played with just about every wheel imaginable, and just about every combo of numbers imaginable (within a certain budget that is). Looking at past history over the several years that the NJ Cash game has been in existance, I tracked how the numbers trend, and which number combos seem to repeat. I have said many many times on LP that a wheel is only as good as the numbers put into it. That is a given. So, please share with us how to pick the numbers. We can decide on the wheel

I have found, and you will find a number of people here on LP that agree with this, that the best wheels are the 3if3, 4if4, and 5if5. The 3if4 is actually make by combining two wheels (3if3 and 4if4). This makes the win even harder. Even a 2if2 is a great wheel to play. Most people don't do it, but I sometimes get a 3 but I get a LOT of 2 correct.

CD - lottolaughs has a thread going of the strings for certain states. He/She also stated the strings are good for 10 days.

Please share with us ANY of these methods you have used since the 1980's that have been playing/created/purchased, etc. so we may get a better grasp of the pick 5.

Maybe you can provide us with a shorter string of numbers that produce the JACKPOT within 10 days from all these years of use with these programs you have purchased.

Just let me inject something here....as everyone knows, a wheel is a good as the numbers put into it. Chosing the right numbers for ANY wheel is the challenge. In defense of Gail Howard's wheels, I have been using her 3if4 wheel with very good success. There have been several times where I have gotten 4 numbers in the wheel and still trapped the numbers for the 4 number prize. In NJ, the payout for 4 numbers is pretty good, usually over $500. If you have the wheel you can check it yourself anytime you want. Until my own wheels are finished I would use Gail Howard's. Am I allowed to publish wheels on here that are copyrighted? I myself would probably play wheels that are in the $30 to $40 dollar range but I'm suggesting that people who are on a smaller budget can still play $10 and still win something. The string has 11 numbers. Playing a Pick 5 means you have to play FIVE numbers at a time.

Show us what you would BET using those 11 numbers on each of the 7 strings. Very simple.

OK, then. POST the numbers for each string and let's see how you do. If you can make a profit, I will be glad to play. BTW, a 3if4/11 wheel only requires 9 tickets. You should throw out the Gail Howard book and start using the wheels here on LP. There are none better.

But that's one of the points I'm hoping to make in this test, that you won't have to play EVERY string to have a winner in there!! Every string tonight in the Ohio game was a winner, be it a replay up to the jackpot, you still could have won something. And there are plenty of wheels you can play for way less then $113 and still win. I'm looking at a 3 if 4 wheel for 11 numbers right now that only cost $10 in Gail Howard's Wheel Five To Win book! Let me try to explain it again. You have 7 strings of say 11 numbers. Be realistic now, the BEST you can hope for is 4 correct. To play for 4 correct you need to play a wheel that has 113 tickets. Take 113 times 7 strings and you have invested $791 per draw. As I pointed out Ohio has a fixed payout for 4 correct of $300. Can you now see what I am talking about? I wouldn't call it a losing cause, that's kinda harsh. There's lots of ways to go about this. You're looking at the big picture, I guess. You only want the jackpot, but other people would probably be happy to win lots of 3's and 4's on a consistant basis. I'm one of those people. I'm not always going for the jackpot. I think it is a loosing cause. Too many tickets to buy. Just having all 5 numbers in a string of 11 or 12 numbers and especially considering there are SEVEN strings makes it extremely expensive to play and I really doubt it would be profitable. When you get it down to ONE string of 7 and it hits often, you have a winner

How many numbers in the other strings for Ohio? With the string that won, a 12 number wheel with a guarantee of 4if4, it would take 113 tickets and, of course, not guarantee that the 5 correct would hit. Seven strings at $113 each is expensive and would never pay for itself in California. The payout for 4 in California is about $500 or less.

To answer your question about Powerball, I really haven't studied that game. I've tried these strings on Megamillions and they don't work. That's another game with a 50+ number field just in case you didn't know. These work best for pick 5 games or lottos that are

pick 6 with under 50 numbers. But that's a whole other journey I haven't taken yet because I'm still trying to get these in order.

Looks like Ohio is our first winner in the strings test!! 5 spot winner tonight, July 5th , only our second day in. Sorry, I'm just a little excited here. Almost all of the 7 strings produced hits, there were three

3 spot winners, two 4 spots and the whole enchilada! And only using 11 numbers.
