for years and years I used dial-up..I have a 1994 Macintosh on my other desk hooked up to dial-up with a 14.4 moden..slow would be a understatement..I just got AOL.4.0 on that thing a couple 2-3 years ago..before that I was still using AOL 2.7..how many of you can remember that version of AOL..lol

The Slowskis have risen slowly but surely to favorite status, just surpassing the Geico Gecko (although it is a close race at the moment)...

and they're off. The gecko is beating the turtle by a hare.

Since you live in Florida, I don't have to tell you that those little lizzards are much faster than turtles. I have a heck of a time catching them in my house. I'm putting my money on the Maltese.

Two thumbs up for The Slowskis

For those unfamiliar with The Slowskis, they are a couple of turtles on a current series of Comcast Broadband commercials. They do not like the high speed of broadband internet because it is just too fast for them to understand and it makes them nervous.

My Maltese loves to bark at those commercials when they come on the tv.

Hey good work on your hits lately...but the squirrels are helping...that's not fair. They have the inside track. All I have is chipmunks and they keep giving me just one number, 1. Weird how they always extend only one claw when I talk to them.

You couldn't get me to live anywhere else. I have to work in the city (I drive an hour both ways) and that is as close as I will ever get. My nearest neighbor is 1/2 mile down the road. The way is should be...Makes for a lot of extra mowing, but hey, what else have I got to do.

where i used to live way out in the sticks there was no lights at night like in the city.my road was gravel.wasn't even paved so i know how you feel.i hated it.ran away at the age of 16 and very rarely went back to visit.you could put your hand in front of your face and not even see it.it was pitch black at night and very scary.a house every mile or so.if someone was outside a mile away the voices would carry and you could hear what they were saying........

I'm still using my 14.4 Modem.

I started downloading Paurths Pick 3 Tool last week and it finally finished today.

My phone bill is around $5,000 dollars. I hope the lottery tool is worth it

I still use Dial-up too!

I have my computer optimized though to go pretty fast so right now I am content. I guess I am really in the prehistoric ages I use windows 98se too just because I love the program.

I am looking into getting a new computer but will probably wait until Microsoft Vista comes out which will make XP obsolete no doubt.
