The average person will never have $1,000,000 lump sum, so I'd vote yes;

A million in thre hand is worth much more than a maybe with a lottery ticket

I think the question should be :

If you were told that you would win the lottery between now and the year 2035, would you accept 1 million dollars to stop playing the game.

I voted ABSOLUTELY!! I assume this is a real million dollars, not a choice of annuity or lump sum of 50%!! Is it tax free too? It would be tough to give up playing my personal numbers since I haven't changed them in over 12 years, but if that was the deal, I would just stop checking them. What I don't know can't hurt me. I would pay around $250,000 cash for a comfortable home (not here, but somewhere nice) and $25,000 for a new car and still have plenty to live on. I'd still work for group... [ More ]

I think that anim's a bit too racy for LP..... gonna have to call that one a miss.

Marilyn Monroe gave a toast in one of her movies once,

I had fun doing the anim. Blew that mama up to 2inch x2, 600 pixels per inch to work on it, stretched, contorted, cropped, then shrank it back to 100 pixels .... animated the 4 frames and she... [ More ]

Please do the animation. It will qualify you for the Artistic Impression award in the LPHOF and keep 50% of the members on the site longer than they anticipated.

NO brainer. I picked yes of course. You could still pick your numbers daily and have the ecstasy and agony of winning and losing without spending a cent and still win a million bucks. That's my kind of lottery!

But if you couldn't play on paper even, then it would be like "40 days and 40 nights".

I think most people would say yes to a million dollars if someone was foolish enough to offer it even if they had no intention of stopping. Playing the lottery is addictive and paying an addict to change his ways is a waste of money, in fact most addicts would use any extra money to support their habit.
