Found the problem:

If you've downloaded Ultra-Edit 32, you downloaded a toolbar with a redirect. Click the box in the corner of the screen if it happens to you and you can disable that function

UltraEdit Toolbar Options

General

Open a new window to display results each time you search

Search Box Options

Box size

Normal Wide

Keep a search history in a drop-down list under the search box

Preserve the search history across browser sessions

Automatically run a... [ More ]

That error is caused by your ISP, and the search page is created by them. (Anytime your ISP cannot locate a web site, it goes to their own search page, so they can make extra money when you click the links.)

If you get that page, it's because your ISPs DNS servers are down, and without working DNS servers, your computer cannot transform the name www.lotterypost.com into a working IP address.

Bryan, thanks much...you're right about aohell. I just tried to talk to a humanoid and they weren't available. Took the rear entrance and went through billing questions live help. Well they must all be on va-ca because I couldn't get a humanoid to even take my money. But your suggestion is real good and if it works I'm sending you a $ 10 IL scratcher. I'll be in touch on that one.

I get completely disconnected an awfully lot ..... I'd never considered whether it was only on LP, but it's mostly there. Heck, I don't go more than half a dozen other places on the Internet, however.

Does getting knocked off the web mean something different than just getting kicked off LP?

rick i was getting kicked off every minute it seemed until i finally threw in the towel and got this broadband.i really can't afford it and shouldn't have gotten it but it was driving me crazy.i have aol too.i think it is aol that is causing the problem.even with broadband i'm still get knocked off but not nearly as much.........

I'm being kicked off the internet constantly when I'm logged onto LP. It doesn't happen anywhere else. I'm glad to hear that other members are having anomalies because I was going to throw the computer out. I've re-loaded my browser software, cleared my temp files repeatedly, talked to Todd about it and I'm still getting kicked off. I'll be lucky to finish this post.

Thanks for the heads-up everyone. Computers aren't cheap.

Mine abruptly quit happening within an hour after I posted this thread.

I'm thinking maybe it was a hacker, or worm, one of those kinds of things must have been causing it, but couldn't stand the light of day.

I have been getting a service unavailable message quite a bit when I click on a new page. I also get LP is updating come back in 15 minutes. Then I click on another page and everything is fine...

I just figured it was changes been made in the the background.

I was having that problem too. I cleared my cache and disk cache. worked right since.

but I am having a problem on lp predictions page and winners page not showing the members names. so I can't tell if I actually hit anything.

You may have some sort of hijacker.

If you run a scan, you may find that to be the case.

For the past few days, a week at most, when I click a button to go to a page on LP I frequently end up with this screen, instead. It's evidently a search engine that sells spots to casino sites.

Is it just me, or is everyone experiencing this?
