CASH Only, my vote would have been wrong on this run. MM hit 60 million on 8/25. It's now 70 million for 8/29.

The problem with NY Lotto is not the bonus ball. I've said MANY times that it's because only 38%-40% of sales are used to pay prizes.

If anybody had voted for under $50 million on this thread started by CASH Only, they're correct. Someone in NY won the jackpot of 31 million. To add insult to injury, the combination was 14-29-32-43-49 MB 14.

MM just got lucky that's all. I think they need to rechange the ball machine to eliminate technical difficulties. However, I don't expect a matrix change anytime soon. If they did, they need to re-invite 6 more MB from the 3rd matrix to make it 5/56+1/52 to increase the odds. More winners in MM right now means less in the future that I agreed with ryanm on this one.

Anyway, I don't think Mega should change the matrix just because of this lucky string of winners. You should believe in the current matrix - more winners now usually means less winners in the future, as is the case with Powerball (yes, it didn't take Powerball too long to get as "cold" winner-wise as Mega Millions was last year after PB changed its matrix last August, but that could have happened anyway had it not changed its matrix and its current matrix isn't THAT much harder than its old one... Unfortunately, if they do change the matrix again they may end up back-loading their annuity like Powerball does, especially if Powerball gets Florida.

CASH Only, MM jackpot is at 31 million for 8/1. My vote suggest under because I think someone will win either the next draw or Friday 8/4 because of these technical difficulties. I think MM should change ball machines to erase technical difficulties.
