You think with all the money Andy Rooney makes he could afford a few dollars to have better grooming habits. Like the fact that he needs to brush his teeth and trim his nose hairs and the hair growing out of his ears. But my big pick on Ol' Andy is his forest he has growing on his eyebrows go to the barber or hair salon for a trim. Man that guy is annoying.-weshar75

Coin Toss, that was a rerun. It was first aired in March. Some of what he said is:

You see people buying lottery tickets all the time and it's obvious that most lottery money comes from the poorest people. They don't look too smart either.

Some of them cash their unemployment checks and buy lottery tickets with that money. Then they need more help from the rest of us.

I didn't catch Dateline either, but on 60 Minutes Andy Rooney wraps it up every week with a very short 'rant' about something, doesn't usually have anything to do with any of the segments that were on.

Tonight when he talked about the lottery he just mentioned that the people who can afford it least play the most and that being the case, the states shouldn't advertise lotteries top get back some of the money (welfare) they are giving to people who wind up playing lotto with it.

I have already forgotten the guy that Dateline just featured tonight. But they showed him at a casino, at a Blackjack table, with 7 million dallars in front of him and he lost it all in two days. He eventally brought down a bank that was owned by one of his friends families. All are awaiting Trial and possible jail time.

This guy was really addicted.

Thanks for posting. Kind of sorry I missed the shows. But in a way, I'm sort of glad I didn't watch them. It would only confirm what I already know about why I buy lottery tickets...I'm wacko

Ok, so it was only the first story. But I just turned to CBS and Andy Rooney was talking about people who buy lottery tickets. I don't know whatelse was discussed on 60 Minutes. I usually watch 60minutes but surfing the channels made me stop on NBC.
