Funny you should say that,justxploring! You brought up some old memories from years back when I worked at a liquor store. My boss had the window cut out on the side of the store and everything for just that purpose but it never happened. Instead of fries, it would've been, do you want a pint of vodka with that ticket,sir? ha.

Texas had (or maybe still has) a drive-through store selling ONLY cigarettes and lottery tickets. It was/still is east of Houston, and called something like The Vice Store .

You just made me think of an idea, DD. What about drive-thru lottery? You'd drive up to the speaker and punch in your numbers or QP and pickup the tickets at the window where you pay.

What a cool name for a town. I had to Google it.

Goondiwindi's name stems from Aboriginal origin, meaning 'Resting Place of the Birds' and is pronounced Gun-da-windi.

A lucky Goondiwindi father in his 50s has struck gold after winning more than $1,000,000 in Saturday Gold Lotto.

The ecstatic man watched the draw and saw five of his recorded numbers come up but didn t see the sixth number as he panicked and looked away from the television.

He had to wait to see the numbers re-run later in the night to see if he had the sixth. Sure enough he had six but had to check it over and over before actually believing it!
