an RNG could be tampered with a lot easier than a ball drawing.

remember kansas drawing that number three days in a row for pick 3.thats ample evidence that RNG drawings are wack

Time ago somebody said that they do hold predraws also for RNG draws on the states that have those draws.

I'm one of those weirdos who think that any number generator will generate the numbers that are out there in the universal consciuosness. 911 being drawn in NY evening on the anniversary of 9/11 is an example. This wasn't machine tampering. If you have 20 + million people thinking emotionally and strongly about a number, it has a good chance of being drawn. Maybe we have a lot more power than we think

If you noticed a trend regardless of whether it's the results of balls or a RNG being used, how does what you know afterward change it? The conditions that generated the trend will still exist unless there is a change in the way the numbers are picked.

Do they pre-test with generators?

The reason I ask is because if they DON'T pre-test, then some randomness, or close to it exists. The next day's winning numbers are derived by whatever seed is used, unlike the mechanical, when they choose which tubes, and in what order the tubes are placed. The history of the trends within the last night's tubes and what order, go right out the window. Pre-tests on top of that before the next night's drawing.....LOL.
