			<description><![CDATA[<p>This Sunday (20 August 2006) marks the 75th anniversary of the first lottery draw on 20 August 1931, held to help raise funds for hospitals during the Great Depression.<br /><br />Over the past 75 years NSW Lotteries has paid more than $13 billion in prizes to hundreds of thousands of lucky winners, and raised close to $7 billion to assist the NSW Government in funding important community infrastructure, such as schools, hospitals and roads.<br /><br />Lottery funds have helped to literally change the face</p>]]></description>
