congrats on 5 yrs ... my wife is also a survivor 6 yrs now..

i had the colorectal exam a few months ago and while they found no cancer they want to take another trip up further into the netherlands. i will be sedated for this. And while there at it they may go down the gullet also in other words i'm gonna have the whole nine yards exam.

Congrats on your 5-year mark!! That's the best one -- each additional year is like icing on a cake or should I say, like hitting the BIG ONE (lottery).

In January I'll be a ten-year breast cancer survivor. On Friday, August the 25th, I had my thyroid, including some large nodules and a goiter removed. My doctor says she quite certain that there is no cancer. She said she removed 10 pounds!! but I really think she was joking -- I'll find out tomorrow when I have the stitches removed.... [ More ]

thanks to all

i wanted to share this with you all -my lottery family

and also wanting all to know it can be conquered

when i was told i had cancer there was 2 people that i had met that i knew both were cancer survivors -i held on to that knowledge /hope -you can't imagine how much it helped

i pray you will never be faced with those words

but if it happens -remember and hold on to the fact

people can survive cancer

and in my case if i had had a colon exam after turning 50 like they ask everyone to do-but of course i didn't -when i was 55 they found a tumor that they said had been growing for about 5 years-an earlier exam would have caught it even earlier-

so all learn from my lesson
