There's nothing wrong with the cash amount never going over $100 Millions, anyone not playing by then is not interested. After all if there weren't plenty of players interested when the cash was $5 Millions, the game would never get off the ground.

It seems the new limit is 100 million cash although Euromillions might hit that. Too bad you can't get tickets in the US.

Powerball does tend to have a run at the end of the year though. It might break 300 before then.

Hi everyone. Congratulations to Iowa for winning the recent PB Jackpot. The jackpot (annunity) hit 200.3 million. I hope the PB jackpot winner from Iowa chooses cash. PB annunity jackpot was won at 200+ million again (two straight).

You mean $390 million? Unless you're expecting the jackpot to first land right at $375 million and then roll once more. Record PB jackpot increases are capped at $25 million per rollover, with any excess cash going to the "share the wealth" feature, which is passed down to the match 5+0 winners when the record jackpot is won; the current record is $365 million, so if the jackpot is not already over $365 million, the highest it can jump on any roll is to $390 million.

I remembered reading a story a few years ago about a couple from your area winning the PowerBall jackpot that had also brought tickets for the wife's office pool. When the couple cashed in their jackpot winning ticket her co-workers sued them because they thought they should have shared their jackpot with them since all the ticket were purchased at the same time. i have experimented with tri states powerball.i bought all 42 numbers before with powerplay,and ended up winning about 12 dollars with quickpicks,so i guess we'll never hit the big one in this area.

Now that MegaMillions has been won and gas prices are dropping, PowerBall $180M jackpot will start looking more attractive to the players in the MM states as it rolls. If it rolls this Wednesday, I expect a surge of MM players to make a run to the boarder for tickets. So a player from a MM state could be the winner, it has happened before.

It seems whenever a single game has a large jackpot (Powerball in this case) it gets hit soon. I'm predicting either this drawing at 179 million or one more drawing at 205 million.

I just don't think this run will come close to any records.
