I think in the long run if both MM and PB continue to roll, MM has the advantage.

It's not a race really, unless you mean a race to advertise a misleading value for the jackpot. The MM cash value is higher. Powerball's graduated annuity makes it seem even bigger than it really is.

It is still a slightly better bet to play Powerball, since Powerball gives you a little bit better odds of winning.

It happens every once in a while that the jackpot is a little lower than advertised. In this case it must have involved their rules about reserves. They had enough sale... [ More ]

It wasn't the Match 5 that did them in. It only paid out $200k more than the previous drawing.

There was a more than $3 million increase for the lower tiers over the previous drawing.

My gut response is 'does it matter ?', but maybe they have had to pay out more Pick 5's lately ?

Pick 5's with a multiplier add up in a hurry.

Both are at $15 million. This has been happening quite a bit lately.

Did you guys see that the advertised $203,000,000 jackpot wasn't meet. It ended up being only $200.3 million. Has that ever happened before?
