1. Hot Lotto is hardly unique .

2. The game SC is citing has a top prize of $1,000,000. Hot Lotto is a rolling jackpot game, which means it has no technical top prize.

The Carolinas probably don't have the population base right now to make a bi-state jackpot game work. It would be better if NC and SC joined a longer odds (currently 1:11 million) Hot Lotto.

I see what you mean. There was talk of NC/SC making their own Carolinas Pick-6 game together as modeled after the HL as well.

The only thing negative about HL is that it's computerized (actually, it uses radioactive material-I don't see how that can be manipulated.) I realize that some people are as against computerized drawings as I am against annuity-only games.

HL, computerized or not, is a much better game than GA-KY-VA Lose for Life. South Carolina was interested in Lotto South-LS would still be here, as at least a four-state game, if SC had joined.

If NC and SC were to join HL, they would do so, separately.... [ More ]

Let's hope not. I haven't seen anything good about this game. At least not that I've seen. Since it's part of PB, it would make sense that NC and SC will join in.
