The gap strategy that I've explained here has produced a number of questions, mainly on how to use the individual gap strings to make predictions.

Remember that gap strategy is a new technique. There are no websites one can turn to for advice. We are pathfinders, so to speak.

I said at the beginning that this strategy is based on two features - gaps and trends. Computing the gaps is straight forward, interpreting trends is another matter.

This workout requires a lot of time and effort, but it's worthwhile, IMHO.

I would suggest that you take one letter or number group, at a time. Start with As. When you have

completed the gap string, compile the master inventories and then move to the D C charts.

Do you need six gap strings?

No.

I'm tracking several lotteries. I use six strings only for one game, 4 for the others.

My recommendation is to do as many as you have time and patience for, but do at least 4. This will lighten the logging load, but still give you a variety of choices.

I've decided to share my second lottery number picking strategy I call 'alphanumeric substitution.' but it will be awhile. I just don't have time to put it all together at present. The strategy is 'data intensive' and numerous charts are required.

But, just like the gap strategy, once you have all the data laid out, making informed guesses are straight forward.

Bobby, it's alot to take in . I for one am lost as Leroy on this one. But it doesn't mean I won't try it. I play the Cash 5 in NC and we have had only three draws so far. So it will take a month to get enough Data in order to use it. That gives me plenty of time to swallow and digest all the instructions to this program.

I too have printed it out and in the near future am planning on using it in conjunction with lottolaughs strings method and Sir Metro's -39 method so see about beating my IL Little Lotto.

Thanks for posting all of this information, I have printed it out and am planning on giving it the once over when I have some time. Don't think that just because you are not getting any written response that people aren't looking and reading what you put here. It takes awhile sometimes for things to catch on and with the amount of studying and reading this post takes alone, I would figure it would take some time to grasp everything you are saying before people start responding.... I'm really surprised that, with the exception of jarasan, I've not received any comments regarding the gap strategy I've presented here. Makes me think that maybe folks that come here are looking for 'easy buttons' that give them numbers to play, rather than a system that they can use to make their own choices.

Here is some feedback. I am impressed with your detailed explanation of your system, you either were an accountant, tax preparer, or of some engineering discipline. Speaking for myself, I have a system for the PICK 5's, PICK 6's and Jackpot games which I will not deviate from because it is effective, and it hits everyday. Those of you who are following this threat may be wondering what happened to the C gap column, the one after the 'S' column, the # GSHVWX series.

What I did was change the C to H to avoid confusion with the C number group.

The column headings don't have any particular meaning.

You won't have any problems setting up the gaps for your game(s). Just take your time. You only have to do those 30 draws one time.

If I might suggest, you don't really need to have 6 gap streams. Four would give you lot of choices. Of course, six would be good, too. I suspect that some players may stretch it out to 8.

Predictions using the Gap Strategy explained in previous posts are based on the various sets of data derived from 30 or more consecutive drawings. This information should be in your Playbooks for each number group.

You should have separate sets of playbooks for each lottery being tracked.

If predictions for a Cash 5 game with 30+ numbers, Playbooks A, B, C and D should be readily available.

Here is a final review of my 'Gap Strategy' workup for Pick 5, 5+ and 6 lottery games.

I'll begin by saying that I used the strategy to pick numbers in the Texas Cash 5 Wednesday, and had 4 wins - 1 3/5 for

$10 and 3 2/5 for $6. I wheeled 15 numbers and played 10 sets.

If you have been following my instructions, you should have the following information on graph paper.

1. Master gap sequence lists for each number group. (# GSHVWX) You should have one for A, one for B, one for C, one for D... [ More ]

If I may, I would suggest that you make your notes using Notepad. Then, once your notes are in order and you have it laid out the way you want it, you can easily save it as a file (for future reference) and copy and paste it directly into the Editor here.

Sometimes, I copy my data from Excel to Notepad so I can strip down the unwanted stuff and control the overall appearance. Also, it helps when my connection hiccups and I have to start over again.

Sure hope you are catching on the procedure for finding lottery numbers! It's tricky, but

it will become second nature is a short time.

The question raised now is how many lottery numbers to pick and play.

If you do some research at this forum, you will find numerous threads on the subject.

You may have already decided how many numbers to wheel. You just use the gap

sequence to pull them out for you.

It's as easy as pressing Ctrl+A, then Ctrl+C on your keyboard just before clicking Post Message . If you have nevert used the Ctrl key on your keyboard, you do have to locate it. Other than that, not too tough!

(To paste the copied content into an editor, click the blinking cursor into the white text editor space and press Ctrl+V.

The Internet, by its very nature, is much more fragile than programs running on your home computer. When posting large and complex posts (and even for small ones!) it is always a good idea to quickly select all the content in the editor and the copy just before posting your message. That way, if an error occurs, the whole message is on your clipboard, so you can just go back to the editor and paste it back in.

Rememberthe sequence # GSHVWX.

You can't get to X without going through GSHVW. Therefore the D C for AX will have all of the sequences.

You of course will construct D C charts for the Bs, Cs and Ds.

Also E and F, if you are doing MM or a pick 6 lottery.

Time for YOU to decide how you are going to use the charts for the lottery you are tracking.

Distribution and Count charts.

I'm going to give you the format only. Will discuss how to use the data in another post.

Get a fresh sheet of graph paper.

In the upper left corner, enter AG, using a color pencil. I use red for all A numbers and gaps.

Drop down a line, give columns over and enter #.

Skip a column and enter G

Refer to your master list and enter the sequences, which will be mixed.

I failed to mention that after you have process the A numbers, you need to go the B numbers. You will follow the exact same procedure, only there will be 10 numbers The number of Ds depends on the number of numbers in the lottery.

Put all your A data is a separate folder. I call it a playbook, for reasons that will become clear as we proceed with the D C charts, which is the heart of this gap strategy.

I'm going to assume that everyone following this post has experience with lottery numbers.

Before I begin, I think I need to review how winning numbers are drawn in Texas.

For Cash 5, they use 3 ball machines and 7 sets of balls. Sometime on the day of the drawining, someone opens the storage area and uses a device to determine which machine and ball will be used, plus an alternate machine and ball set.

RJOH recently commented on the lack of workouts for Pick 5, Jackpot and Pick 6 games in LP.

I think just about all serious lottery players have various schemes they use to pick their numbers. Having massaged lottery numbers for many years, I suspect some of the systems, which I call substitutes, key on frequency of individual numbers, odds and evens, roots, sums, and a variety of other data streams based on winning numbers for a particular game.
