Normally, I do buy the mistake tickets. Last night, I did not. 7 9 4 for Georgia Midday today (Thursday) was the error I did not purchase.

Thanks justxploring. That's not the first time it has happened to me. I have also been very fortunate enough not to have the wrong number punched in and my number came out. I might add also that the 50/50 section on the North Carolina game card was not working yesterday. Everytime you marked the 50/50 box it wouldn't process the ticket. Went to 2 stores before we figured that out.

Why won't he just let her cancel the tickets? Here if that happens, the cashier will just cancel the ticket. (me)

Jim we have a couple Lottery Stores here in SC that do just that. Books, and lottery only. Of course everyone thinks that he/she is a numerologist here.

I purchae the above tickets at one such establishment from a lottery store clerk! Like you said destiny

Re: mistakes....kismet, fate, destiny, karma all rolled into one, and then some.

Of course, it works the other way, too and I'm sure there are stories out there about someone having worked out the right numbers but marking the ticket wrong, or the clerk marking the ticket wrong.

Guess what? The store clerks in North Carolina said that you can't cancel ANY tickets. Pick 3, 4, 5, 6. Period.

But I buy them any way. A couple of months ago. I had a store clerk in another state to play a number for me. I saw a number really strong. I played it straight, I thought. The store cleark typed it in the wrong way. Not the way that I told her. I kept the ticket anyway. It fell the way she typed it in. Great tip followed

you can't cancel powerball or lotto 5 tickets, you can cancel pick 3 and pick 4 within ten minutes of purchase, after that you are stuck, or the store is.That is how it is in Tennessee can't speak for other states, although I would assume the powerball policy would be the same in every state.

He refused to pay for the remaining ten tickets. Her manager's (illegal) policy was to deduct the price of any unsold tickets from the paychecks of whomever was working at the time, and ten bucks was a lot of money to her (I think she had a baby to take care of, but I'm not certain). She managed to sell five or six to subsequent customers, though, so she paid for the others and tossed them onto her dashboard as she left for the night.

Well, I tried to find the story, but haven't managed to locate it yet.

I remember a few years ago, there was a young woman who worked at a convenience store somewhere. A guy walked in and ordered $50 worth of QP lotto tickets, so she ran them off. I buy them, but they are always losers. One time the clerk realized he made a mistake grabbed them so quickly I didn't have a chance and later wondered if they would have been winners. He gave me 5 Lotto intead of 5 FL MegaMoney or vice versa. One other time I decided to spend an extra $5 and bought some QPs along with my personal numbers. Just wondering how many people buy mistakes when something happens. I do but they always turn out to be loosers. I have heard rumors of someone winning with a mistake but haven't seen an actual name to go with it.
