OMG! I didn't realize it's Friday the 13th till I saw this post. lolol I believe some Friday the 13th Days R unlucky some r lucky, lucky days, it depends on the planets like when u read Libra Dave's post. Plus, I check to see what my horoscope have to say for the day I'll know if it is a bad day or not for me. I guess I always absorb the good luck that everyone else discounts, for fear of having bad luck!!

I actually look foward to the 13th. and don't avoid it. I like to be out and about on Fri. 13th ( I really have no choice) to observe and be involved in unluckiness, bad karma, etc. to see if there is any truth to it. And after many Fri. 13th.'s I have yet to experience the bad stuff that is supposed to happen on this dreaded day. This can get interesting.

Many say it's silly for Americans to worry about the number 13 because we started with 13 colonies, there's 13 spears in the eagle's talons, etc....

OK, in numerology, 13 breaks down to 1 + 3 = 4

In Chinese (and some other Asian countries count in Chinese) the word for 4 is sa , which is also the word for death, so 4 is the number considered to be unlucky.

In the U.S. many tall buildings have no 13th floor, in Asia it's no 4th floor.

I guess I never looked at 13 as unlucky. Although I was never brought up with a lot of religious training, I come from a Jewish family, and 13 is when a person becomes of age and begins to take responsibility and observe the 10 Commandments. (Yeah, right...like a 13 year old boy is a real mature man) Still, because of this I never looked at the number in a negative light.
