Good topic, I average about $20 per drawing per day

although I have spent more a few times after a win

It seems when you spend more chasing a number the

number tends to run from you.

I average about $8-$10 per game and I usually play Midday and Eve. If I have a good hunch on one number I will put $5 on that number...Sometimes I skip a drawing when I don't feel anything.....

I have not been spending much of my money on tickets since this summer. My mother and I have been sharing the cost of tickets. We usually spend a $100 on Mega Millions and $200 on Oregon Megabucks and Powerball. So it is less than $200 between us a month.-weshar75

Wow, I used to spend like crazy. I play only powerball. I have played both pick 3 and 4 a hand full of times but was not crazy about it. It is not odd for me to buy all the red powerballs in one drawing or play the same numbers 100 times or powerplayed every drawing. But now I have cut down to less than 10 bucks per drawing, more like less than 5 and I win just about every other drawing.

I was spending $10 a day when I was winning and losing. I had 3 $40 wins and used that money to play until I ran out. I have cut down the spending from $10 t0 $4

Note: I was coming home from the doc's and went tin to the grocery store and bought 20 QPs at .50. When I got out of the store I looked at them and all of then were Straight(Exact) The number would have won hai played them boxed coz the winning number was 980 I had 089 straight

I rarely win even $3 with PB, so I'm down to spending $5 per PB drawing. Then I'll do $10 twice a week for the Pick 5 game. I ll usually win atleast a little bit with that game.

So that adds to about $30 a week.

It varies from week to week. The most that I have spent at one time was about $50 bucks, but on an average, I spend $15 to $20 bucks a day. Don't hardly win anything.

There's a saying, Everyone bets 'the same amount' , not meaning a monetary amount, but whatever amount it takes to give them a thrill.

So if one person can get the same thrill out of having one line of numbers going for a huge jackpoit that it takes another person $25 worth of ticekts to get, in this sense, they're both betting 'the same amount.

Usually $1 a day on Little Lotto, 50 cents or $1 on a Pick 3, $2 a week on Mega Millions or the state lottery if the jackpot is up.

When this thread went up I went over some of my souveneir tickets (losers) and so far for this month it averaged $1.94 a day (factoring in an occassional $1 or $10 winner)

My wife goes about $2 a day on scrathcers - and she has hit a lot more than I have. Go figure! (I had 20 years of casino work, and what does she like to play? Scrathers and Wedges a... [ More ]

I try to only spend $4 for Lotto twice a week on my personal numbers. Sometimes I buy a couple of quick picks. $10 or $12 per week would be my absolute maximum now, but that's really getting to be too much. $10 buys a lot of groceries. Used to spend a little more, but rarely more than $20 or $25 in one week.
