It's not a 'bad' thing, it's a 'does not exist' thing, because there are no (NO) 'systems' that can tell you exactly which numbers to play, if there were, ALL lotteries would be won on EVERY drawing - by several hundred people.

Let me make sure I understand the question. When I have developed a system would I what ? Now come on folks lets be real here. We are talking about money for lotteries across the board right, right ? So that would be The Daily Number paying $ 500 straight and $ 250 box right ? Day and Night. Ok that answer would be no. Thats $ 1000 or $ 500 dollars a day. Any 'system' that tells you which exact numbers to play is bad, any 'system' that can point you in a logical direction of what to play is good, because we know that nothing can predict numbers, but you can predict trends.

I don't think players are looking a system with an easy button but rather one that make good picks and have a track record to prove it.

If you think you systems would be a good read, why not put them in an ebook yourself, that way you would have a published legal claim to your systems.

I've posted two 'paper and pencil' systems for Pick 5, 5+ and 6 games in the Pick 5 forum. Basically, I've described a 'gap strategy' and another system I call 'alphanumeric substitution.'

Neither system has the 'easy button' everyone seems to be looking for. You know, push the button and get a jackpot winner everytime. No such thing exists!

Since there has never been a large group of lottery jackpot winners or for that matter 2nd place lottery winners, I can conclude among the thousands of lottery systems and programs sold, none are winners. We'll all know when such a system/program exists because either someone will win more than one lottery jackpot close together or a group of players using the same system/program will win a jackpot and it will be in the news.

Sharing a system by divulging a method of number selection, sure, most of us have done that in posts, even if not meaning to.

But sharing a system and then having people wanting you to work the numbers out for them instead of they themselves working them out, no.

It would depend on the game, too.....if I came up with something that could produce even a few Pick 5 jackpots a year, since it's a shared jackpot, I'm not telling anybody about it.

There may be a slight difference between 'taxable' and 'reportable' income. I may be wrong, but if you win $500 at the casino, THEY don't fill out the tax forms on the spot, but I think you are expected to report it on your taxes as income, that is where it is 'taxed' - YOU are reporting it as opposed to the Casino reporting it for you.....

To a limited extent I might consider that the answer depends on what a system that really worked means and what sharing means, but for the most part I think the poll shows that a lot of the people here have no grasp of reality.

Somewhere in the back of my mind I remember an old saying that goes charity begins at home.

I believe I would keep it a secret and use it to my advantage. Not only because of the personal issue but because of the way people are. There's a regulation called 6 A, 6 Alpha it's called, that all casino personnel have classes about. It was intended to try and indentify drug dralers because so much money laundering is attempted at casinos, but 6 A states that any cash transaction of $10,000 or more has to be reported to the IRS.

People do it all the time. You have to watch how you handle your money.

1) Don't deposit it into a savings or a checking account. People will notice and will report.

2) Pay cash for anything other than a bill...

3) Get a safe deposit box.. or a fire proof safe at home.

4) Make plans for your money.. After $1500 gain.. enjoy with a vacation: (my hubby's and my favorite thing)

Personally, I think that every system and/or method out there has, at one time or another, excellent short term streaks of producing positive results. I also believe that the majority of those systems for sale take advantage of that sole fact. And by simply advertising the short term positive streak that occurred, they are able to declare the system a winning method.

In a book I read about mail order one of the points made was that the person most likely to send you a bad check was somebody ordering any kind of gambling information.

I disagree with the 3/4 system. You would get there faster just using the system. If you sold it, you would have to pay taxes on the income you make.

After some members sent me PMs complaining about money they lost playing numbers I posted on the prediction board, I decided no one would ever be able to make the same complaint about my system. I will talk about some of the ideas I used to develop it but they will have to come up with their own system for losing their money. If they don't want to take the time to do that then there are plenty of lottery systems for sale on the Internet.

There are plenty of lottery programs and systems around that aren't much better than an RNG with a data file. I have no doubt if someone actually came up with a working system that was better and shared it, it would copied and marketed without any benefit to them. I share ideas, it up to others to develop their own systems, thats what I'm doing.

If it was a jackpot system I would not give it out. I would write it down, put it in a safe place to be opened upon my demise. Family members could do with it as they wish then.

If it is a 3/4 system I would sell it. Better chance of insuring my retirement and getting there faster than just winning my way there.

Here is my take on this subject. I want to say yes I would share...but that would probably be when there was no longer internet lottery play. When I was sure that the system would stand the test of time in the real , not cyber lottery, then yes, I would probably share. With the online betting, if too many people found out, then those places would shut down quickly since they aren't pari-mutuel. I would hate for me to lose money because people were careless with my system.

I don't know. I like to share and help people, but it wouldn't make any difference unless I won REAL money with it. That would be the proof that it worked and then I would share it for the 3 and 4 pick games.
