Today (11/15) I drove from my apartment in Putnam County, NY, to Hinsdale, NH, and bought two Hot Lotto tickets. During my drive I saw several Connecticut billboards advertising Classic Lotto and Powerball at the same time. HL is $13.5 million vs $1.2 million in Connecticut (PB $35m). And with Mega Millions getting hit, it's now actually lower than HL, which now I believe has the fourth largest jackpot in the US (after PB, FL, and CA).

We can probably rule out Pennsylvania because they are adding a different game, and probably would've put something on their website by now. I'm still holding out hope for Delaware.

It's November and I still don't know who is joining HL next. It's supposed to be this month. I doubt the state would join around Thanksgiving.

For those of you with the option to buy either, and would take the cash option, take note that Hot Lotto's cash option is $300K more than Powerball's. I'm guessing they will probably be dead even or very close until Saturday's drawing. If you have the option to buy either, take consideration and good luck
