Just play with the interest. You should not have a problem. 5% to 6% is the current cd rates. Should be plenty.

Being a travel agent, years ago we used to be able to upgrade to first class when there was space available. That's been gone for many years now. But,way back when, the flight attendants used to come down the aisle and slice roast beef, pork, etc. right there, serve vegetables and potatoes from china bowls, keep your tails refilled, serve ice cream and warm desserts........it was great service. I think someone hit the nail on the head, age has ALOT to do with how such a sum of money is invested or squandered. As a lady of mid age, I doubt I need all the fluff and pompous lifestyle to fullfill the happiness that my family can achieve. One cannot buy a genuine smile from a grandchild or the laughter on Christmas morning, be it first class or not. Riddle me this, Does a person in first class get to die first or last when the plane takes a nose dive? Does the person in first class arrive

I think age has a lot to do with if you always go 1st class.If your young you really need to play your money smart but if you are older you should go 1st class all the way.If I hit Power Ball tonight it's 1st calls all the way,to Vegas

Yes I would. But I won't spend on a $10,000 airplane ticket. First class seats provide comfort at reasonable price. It's not a thrown for the Kings to be seated.

Hotel rooms $15,000 per night. I wonder what kind of tip to leave. lol

Plane tickets $10,000

Dinning $500 per meal.

I may have to rethink going first class all the time.

You know I used to think that would be great fun. However, just like everything else you can do to extremes, it would get boring.

Do not get me wrong I like nice stuff but too much stuff causes one to feel uneasy. You find yourself having to protect your stuff, worry about your stuff and try to keep up with your stuff. It just is not worth it.

However, I have not had the luxuary of having that problem so if I did I may feel different but I do not think so.

I think I'd still be cheap, but reward myself once in a while. I'm a simple person with simple needs. Anything more, and on a consistent basis would be money down the drain, IMO.

The amount of actual winnings when you win the lottery dictates the type of lifestyle you will be able to afford. It also is affected by how many people have to be supported by those winnings. The larger the winnings the higher the lifestyle I can afford. But one thing is certain when I win a jackpot I will be treating myself to a brand new Cadillac.
