As I walked toward my car one day last week, I looked down and saw a ticket on the ground.

I picked it up and began to examine it. Someone had scratched all the numbers and missed a match.

I scratched it off and won $18.00.

Sometimes people get in a hurry and just don't pay attention....

DD

One time the lady in front of me rejected one, I bought it, and it won $5. The best rejects are the yards of tickets you find piled around the trash receptacle, I often find missed winners that people were in such a hurry they didn't notice (if it were a really huge amount I'd probably notify the store clerk). And I'd feel a little guilty if I bought a rejected ticket that won big.. for one I'd try not to let the person who rejected it know about it.

Depends on the ticket. Here in VA they are kept in plastic dispenser bins labeled by number. You request them by number.. A #12 please' rather then by name. If the clerk misunderstands me, say gives me a #13 when I asked for #30, most of the time I take it.

Here, you are free to pick any ticket you want from the tray. Retailers let you pick anyone you want. If you want, you can look at the numbers (the number of order of printing) and choose the one you feel is lucky. We have so many instant games now, that you are bombarded with about 20 different scratch choices.

I don't know why I voted yes since I don't buy them. I guess I just like voting in polls!

However, I'm a little superstitious so I usually take the so-called mistakes when a lottery ticket is printed. I suppose I might do the same thing if I was handed the wrong scratch ticket, but they are all different prices so it would have to be in the same price range. I certainly wouldn't spent $20 when I asked for a $1 or $5 ticket.

I was standing behind a man in line who said he wanted two 5 dollar jumbo bucks. One from each roll.. The lady handed him one from each roll. He then said he meant one Giant Jumbo and one Jingle Jumbo since they were both $5.. She put one back and got him the Jingle.

I was next in line and said.. I will take the reject to keep your numbers straight.. It was a $100 winner...

f

When I buy scratch-its I just point and say let me have this one or that one. You can't go wrong. In the display case they have numbers to the tickets too. So I say 5 of number 4 or 1 of number 20 . I like to buy the new released scratch-its every month so if it is not one of the new ones I probably would not buy it.-weshar75

I usually take them. Tough decision though. Is it God trying to intervene and help you get rich? Or is it the Devil trying to get you to take a losing ticket instead of the original winner
