Well, many on this site would pobably get into arguments with themselves about QP or selecting numbers - even though they would be conducting the drawing and thus guaranteeing a hit!

And then, despite being not only the only jackpot winner on earth but also the only oerson on earth, would get into another argument with themself over cash option or annuity!

That was a great read on Rod Serling. It's a shame he died so young. It seems that he was truly an inspired person with a deep passion for his work.

here in uk if you buy lottery tickets you get a receipt along with the print out of your nos and on the receipt it has the shops name so easy to find out where tickets are buyed in uk

Yeah, the old Twilight Zones were great - sooooo many actors got their start doing one-off bit parts in them, I remember seeing Bruce Dern, Jack Nicholson and a whole bunch of others in them.

Other shows like 'Route 66', 'Flipper', '12 O'Clock High', even the original 'FBI' series, all great shows, all simply done, they can't make shows like that anymore, even if they wanted to.

The Twilight Zone is my all-time favorite TV series, and Rod Serling is the coolest TV personality ever. I just recently acquired the complete collection of Twilight Zone episodes on DVD. Now, all I have to do is find about 75 spare hours to watch them all.

I suppose remembering the Twilight Zone does date us a bit, but those were great times. I can recall wishing at times that I could visit and experience some of the places and things in that series. I always wanted to go to Vegas after see... [ More ]

I haven't played scratch offs in a really really long time, but here in MO the store that sold the ticket use to put stamps on the back where you sign them stating the name of the store. They may not do that anymore. Use to be you could only return a winner to the store you bought it from. That has changed. As far as online tickets (p3, p4) they have store codes on the bottom. This is not even anything to worry about. The govt will know from the computer coding on the ticket exactly where, and when it was bought. And whether you know it or not when you purchase a ticket, yuo are on camera surveillance. The only question they will be looking at is whether or not the ticket is legitimate or not.

Lottery tix are bearer instruments, are serialed (see tntea on thread), and have a place on the back for name,address, and signature, if you hit big, sign it, don't tell anyone, guard it with your life, and don't go to the corner store. You go to the lottery headquarters, remember wear sunglasses and bring a trusted attorney . LOL jarasan

If you hit a big jackpot on line and not a scrach off they know where it was sold and what time it was sold.You can look at the bottom of the ticket and see what time you bought it.Probably the same with a scrach off,but not sure

Heck I have been in the twilight zone for years just living in this world.

Even if you bought your ticket in Willoughby, the Lottery folks would know it, they know everything by the number codes on the ticket. They created the twilight zone to protect themselves. Their are no secrets when you play the lottery.

All kidding aside, this isn't a bad question at all. AFAIK, if someone is the ticket bearer and no crime has been committed, he is the rightful owner, but it's a good idea to keep track of where you buy tickets. I always suggest that anyone who wins a large amount of money should get legal help anyway before claiming the money. The state will know the place and time the ticket was bought.. Even down to the minute..

Cameras will even tell if the person is male/female, young/old.. etc..

When you hit a jackpot they'll ask you the questions guesser suggested....then you'll name places where you buy your tickets.....

they they'll tell you none of those places are lottery outlets, some odd music will start playing, and Rod Serling will appear. then you'll know you're in

It should not matter, it's ONE of the first questions they ask when verifying if you have a legit ticket or not, you can probably list 3-4 places where you might have bought it.

They will ask you if it was a QP or if you picked the numbers as well, etc.

I buy my lotto tickets and scratch-offs from many stores. I was wondering if I forget where I bought my jackpot ticket, will there be a problem when I claim my jackpot. There have been lots of scams recently.
