I've always liked the number 6. This goes back to a grammar school spelling bee in which I was tied for first place. The teacher asked each of us to choose a number between 1 and 10. I chose 6 and got to pick the first prize.

Funny how people are attracted to certain numbers.

Here's whay I mean about the 2's....

My last hit - 245 Straight box (my wife misread a horoscope number by two days)

Illinois used to have something called Extra on Pick 4....for another dollar you got another set of numbers right then....any number that matched (had to be in swquence) had a dollar amount under it....this is kind of mystical, but we had just given The Salvation Army $100 before going into a groceryt store.

023 straight in Ohio because it hasn't hit for 9,417 consecutive games now. I think this is the second largest skip in Pick 3 history. This is like seeing a pair stay out 941 games or a single digit (in a specific position) stay out 94 games. Its gotta pop soon.

There's two Pick 3's I play more than others, 124 and 286 (have never hit though, not even boxed), but it seems everytime I have hit anything, it had at least one 2 in it.

So did the payoffs.

Go figure.
