I don't have pressure to win. It's a game, one that I wouldn't spend even a dollar of needed money on.

I WANT to win, My family and I will be just fine without a major (or minor) jackpot though.

I think the keyword here is pressured . I mean, why even buy a lottery ticket if you're not pressured to win that amount of money, or need it for that matter? So basically, just by buying a ticket you are being pressured a very slight bit.

Sometimes when I need extra $ the number comes out for me. That's the only time I feel pressure and it's to win a relatively small amount at that time, enough to solve whatever my immediate need or want is. If I have good algorithms I can do this with only a few numbers. There's a difference between people that play just for the sake of playing or those trying to use a scientific method to predict the next draw and if successful get rewarded in cash! Pressure to win!!? LOL Nobody should feel pressure to win the lottery, especially Powerball or Mega Millions, since there are less than twenty of those top winners every year

I feel pressure to win---and I'm a divorce/single mom! But does feeling pressure make me a sicko? I beg to differ. Of course, most of your replies are leaning that way. The walk a mile in my shoes mantra is not a fairy tale!!! I don't just merely WANT to win...I HAVE to win. And I don't have to be rich. I just want to be COMFORTABLE. True. I was thinking about families like the Hiltons and some of the children of celebrities. I guess Paris Hilton is a celebrity, athough I've never been able to figure out what she does..sort of like a modern Gabor.

Scared money never wins.

(Rent money, grocery money, etc...money that should be spent on necessities diverted to gambling).

In the casinos you can always tell when somoene is playing on the milk money .

In one of the lottery documentaries one of the winners (and this wasn't ths show trying to put it all in a bad light) said that until he himself won, her never realized with a win like that you just trade one set of problems for another.

I voted Yes because I think the poll is asking if we feel under pressure to make a lot of money quickly. Some of us are overwhelmed with bills or financial worries or just feel that the lottery might be one of the only ways to ever enjoy retirement in our old age. However, I totally agree that nobody should depend on winning, since it's a big gamble. The only way to be secure is to work hard and save your money unless you've got rich relatives. What are you doing about? Are you buying more tickets? Are you working on a better strategy for winning? Have you joined with others who feel the same way to combine resources? It's unlikely that you can change your luck, but if you're not trying why let it bother you?

I like to play the lottery and go to the casino but I do not feel pressure to win. I think if you do feel pressure to win it is a sign that maybe you should think about why you are playing in the first place. I want to have millions of dollars but I will still have a life if I do not have those millions of dollars. If you need to have the lottery jackpots and the casinos jackpots then you probably have problems with gambling in my view.-weshar75

I really don't feel pressure to win the big games. I'm content with hits on the pick 3/4 games...that's what keeps me going. I have one number I play on FL Lotto every week. No way can I do any more than hope that I win, but there's no way I could work any system on the big games right now. Hoping to win the big raffle for Jan 1 though.
