I agree, it is a double-edged sword, but looking at it from on objective vewpoint, you'd have to conclude that people have won more than the $250,000 most of the time.

However, I cannot imagine what it must be like for those four people, to have surpassed tremendous odds to win a 5+0, only to win about $40,000. I would not be complaining, to be sure, but the fact that you could have won $210,000 more than that in a different state playing the same numbers is a heartbreaker.

No wonder California MM Sales are low for a State with a Population of 35,000,000+.

Raven62...don't forget California had to send 31.8% of sales to the jackpot fund. Makes total payout 47.56% of sales.

Hopefully you're using the excellent Drawing Information page at USA Mega. If so, you'd see if you hit previous drawing , the prior drawing 5+0 won one person $530,444.
