I thought that too but when you click on the more info regarding the raffle (if you could get in the site!!!) it says you have 60 days from the date you claim your winning ticket to take the lump sum instead.

Very True.......and I think I heard that they weren't going to pay it up front...think it has to be in payments over time.....so they can earn the interest on the prizes probably.....

I watched the drawing on TV......didn't see any metro Detroit area towns on the list......there were two winners in Jackson, one in Brownstown.....don't remember the other two towns......

I didn't write the numbers down.....figured we could confirm online.

The TV didn't list the towns were the $100,000.00 prizes were sold.

Yeah I planned to buy some more tickets too, so I kind of hope it is extended a bit. I really think Maryland has done a poor job of promoting this new game. I have not seen any TV commercials on it and maybe one or two radio ads.

It would be nice to get something free for buying a $20 ticket. It is a fun game anyway though and I wish I had known about Delaware's game as we drove through there this past week.

The Maryland Lottery Website says that they will be sold until sold out. That is their original intent, anyway. Whether they change their minds about that, I don't know. The original rules do say that the drawing will be later if they are not sold out by Dec. 31st. But how much longer after that will they wait before changing the rules? I don't know. I have 7 tickets in the Maryland Countdown to Millions raffle. They have 4 $1 million prizes and 8 $50,000 prizes, overall odds one in 517.

I bought a ticket yesterday and it was numbered 232,285. They have 420,000 to sell and now say that tickets will be sold until 6 PM on New Year's Day. The drawing was originally going to be Dec. 31. Does anyone know if states generally go ahead and do a drawing even if all tickets are not sold?

I've got one for PA, one for NJ, one for MD, and one for DE. The Delaware one is a smaller prize ($250,000) - but better odds, too (1 in 100,000).
