I am going to purchase 25 California raffle tickets for $100 on 02-05-07. Such a deal, only $4/ticket. Escondido John

The Million Dollar Raffle will run for only a limited time. Sales begin on February 5, 2007 and will continue through March 17, 2007 or until all 5 million numbers have been sold, whichever comes first.

Numbers will cost $5 each. For every $20 you spend on raffle tickets, you will receive one number free.

It looks like NY will have to offer an incentive to sell out their Raffle to Riches tickets. If NY were to give away Mega Millions tickets, it might be a bad thing, if the MM tickets automatically say 26 ANNUAL PAYMENTS , since NY still requires the choice when you play.

To my amazement, Delaware sold out their raffle. Sales picked up after they coupled it with Powerball quickpicks I noticed. Here's the text of the story from the News Journal:
