Went to Biloxi back in April and did not fare well overall...

Went on the Emerald Princess casino boat out of Brunswick GA recently and

hit a .25 10 x pay machine for 15,000 quarters ( $3750.00 )

Hey slotplayer, that's good common sense; generally when things are going right, it's one indication that they are in a positive cycle like catching a good wave (petrhaps including gambling).

The sad truth is that many players view the casino as an adult theme park, with their gambling stake being the price they pay to be taken for a ride.

I went to the new Twin River Casino in R.I. It was Lincoln Park before. I did win just over 38,000 nickels on a game called American something, the full names eludes me but it's the one with the stars.

3 consecutive stars triggers a 10 free spin bonus round and if you keep getting stars it fills them in at the top. If you fill them all in before the 10 free spins is up you reretrigger the free spin bonus round and increase the multiplier as well.

I'm like you,it's been awhile since I've been and I sure miss it! Tunica sounds like the place to go,it's been mentioned here a couple of times.

I thought the same thing that when they built an Indian casino here about 20 minutes from me that I would be going all the time and have to work for slot money ,(good one,wpb!) but that hasn't been the case. Turns out that casino is so tight that I have never won a thing there and vowed never to visit again

I love casinos. I only play slots and I do well on the $1 slots. I think I have been to most casino's in AC and a few in Las Vegas. The last one I visited was the dog race (Tri- State) in WV. I hit three jackpots there last year. $2.400, 1,600 and 1,350. I hit one in AC at Caesar of $1,350. I have not been at all this year and just told my daughter that I was have casino withdrawals. I hear ya,I love video poker also. Been practicing with Bob Dancer's WinPoker software,it is awesome! Do you have it? It really teaches you which plays to make and corrects you when you're wrong. Definitely recommend it for anyone into video poker,whether you're a novice or pro.

Are you referring to Caesar's in Tahoe? Is that the only one or are there others? How about the Trop? Where is that? Which are your favorite slots?

I have a few of those Bally games softwares. Some of them are pretty fun and very close to the actual games. Of course you win more on the software then in real life,haha

My wife I are avid video poker players. Try Tunica, MS. The Mississippi Gaming Commission is not as good as the Navada one, but we've won each time we've gone to Tunica. Biloxi has also been good to us, but that was before Katrina. Don't know what it's like since then. A BIG NO-NO--- Do NOT try your luck at Harrah's Cherokee Casino. I/we go to the casinos sometimes but can be months or years between trips. It's a long ride and I seem to do better on the regular Numbers and it's easier to systemize that. My favorite 2 are Tropicana and CAESAR'S. It depends on where you play and what you play.

The Keno payoffs at the Coast casinos (Gold Coast, The Orleans) are slightly higher than most and that does add up. For instance a 3-spot pays $45, a 4-spot pays $160, and a 6-spot pays $2000 compared to the $42, $125, and $1500 most casinos pay. The Station casinos link their Keno games together and have progressive 6-spot payoff that can be even higher.

Decided to take a day trip this past Saturday to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, FL.

My wife and I have always been a fan of the Wheel of Fortune Dollar slots, but to say we were disappointed would be an understarement.

I concur with your Harrah's observations, I might add it's usually the least liked casino employer and they single handidly reversed the Rio's good fortunes with the locals.

I've hit:

Las Vegas, Nevada - the strip is a lose lose-a-lot situation

Dover, Delaware - Midway is okay the main casino is fairly good

Cherokee, North Carolina - Harrah's is good

Oklahoma - all kinds of casinos everywhere they are all pretty good

Reno - CircusCircus !!!!!AWESOME!!!!! - BIG MONEY

I was in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago for another purpose, but did hit some of the downtown casinos - Fremont, Fitzgerald's, Four Queens and a couple of others. Also stopped in Sunset Station in Henderson on the way home.

In doing the calculations for the Keno pages on my site I've found that Harrah's - in any market - generally has lower payout percentages than their competiton. I have a tendency to avoid them when gambling due to that.

I like Harrah's in Laughlin. We get to stay there for 2-3 nights free. We have a local Harrah's at Rincon, but it does not have the same atmosphere. I like playing Keno, but no Keno in the CA Casinos. This one is only 10 miles from our house.

Just wanted to update : Went to Harrahs, in Chester PA. Has horse track and slots. Slots are very tight.Had the most fun on a penny slot game. Played for over an hour on five dollars and walked away with 35$ . Spent 4 or so hours there, most I witnessed won was a 2k payout from a dollar slot. No major high payouts. 1: Philadelphia Park ( poor slot selections-seem to be recons from the days of yore.Penny slots are actually playable and fun to break even on)

2: delaware park. Getting harder to break even. Been there twice since Dec. Both times they got my money.

I too love Casino Player Magazine. I go to Grand Victoria here in IL. Slots are tight but I like to play Roulette anyway. I have had the most luck playing $1.00 3 coin max MegaBucks slots at Ho Chunk casino in Wisconsin when I go on vacation. You need a nice bankroll but have won about 5 hand pays of $1,000 or more and I only go there twice a year and those winnings have made vacationing fun. Good Luck to you.

Tried Phila Park out day before Christmas and hit $535.00 Went to Delaware Park yesterday and hit $156.75

I did hit a couple years ago in W.Va for 2900.00

I can get to atlantic city in about 3 hours in a car. Used to go there a lot and play blackjack, mostly at Resorts. While I wasn't entirely able to learn card counting, I did okay using basic strategy. Visually I find the showboat casino the most appealing. When I was living in MA I would go to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. I pretty much stay with slots and never won anything big. Other friends I went with did Roulette and did really well. Several months ago I went on a day gambling cruise on the Palm Beach Princess and people were winning big all around me while I broke even. Went again in October and lost $400.00. Won't be going back there too soon...LOL
