Thanks for the info, Todd. I admit I'm way behind in computer technology. In the 80s I was so far ahead of my generation. I had a computer AND a car phone. Anyone have a time machine I can borrow

Other forums force the members to use obscure tags like [URL] because they do not have a rich text editor like Lottery Post. ( Rich text = word processor-like)

If you use Microsoft IE, the editor will automatically convert anything that looks like a URL to a hot link as you type.

Todd- I didn't know that until your post above!

When I first came to LP I attempted to post link after link and asked people a few times how to do it but I guess a lot of people just figured that everyone knows.

I finally figured out you highlight the link and then the hyperlink icon isn't ghosted anymore. On quite a few other boards as long as you prefix it with http://, or if you use [URL]www.yadayadayada.com[/URL] it links.

Very often pictures linked from other web site will only work for a short while. The reason is that other web sites do not like when people link their images, because THEY pay for all the extra bandwidth of showing the picture on other web sites. Every time it is viewed by somebody on Lottery Post, that other web site is paying for the internet bandwidth of showing the picture.

Is it true about quick picks sold in the pajamas (Miami) area having Castro's picture on them?

To post an image:

Right click on a picture, a drop down menu appears, and click on the bottom, Properties.

Then click on the little tree right below this dialogue box, Insert Image.

Then copy the properties location (if it gives you two choices, don't use address, use second choice, location) and put that in the box, like inserting a hyper-link.

Rick, did you simply copy paste the picture of Linda? I once did that and it worked temporarily. I don't know how to upload a picture from an email or web site if I see one that I like. On my blog, I once copied a cute animation of a penquin knocking another penquin down into a hole in the ice (called evil penquin) and now it's just a blank box with that little red x like you have above the current picture.
