Since Alabama has no lottery (and likely never will), I voted its not offered where i live. However, I did play the Georgia Millionaire Raffle. I didn't win anything this time, but I will play again next year IF the ticket pool remains at 500,000. If they go the way of Florida and sell over a million tickets, I won't play.

The Georgia Raffle had a reasonable balance of prizes, IMHO. Of course I'd like to see them add a few more prizes. I'd also like to see the raffle be offered 3 times... [ More ]

Yep. I'm down here about 8 months out of the year (although it's been 11 months the past year). I do come back to TN on some weekends and I'll be home for about 4 months in late spring and during the summer. TN how I miss it... lol.

Most of these Raffles sell 500,000 $20 tickets, giving four players a chance to win a million dollars, 5 $100,000 winners and 500 $1000 winners. It took Ohio about 7 weeks to sell all the tickets for the Labor Day drawing so people had plenty of time to purchase a ticket. People don't seem to worry about the overall odds of winning but these raffles do offer more for your buck then most of the other lottery games.

We don't have one in IL yet but I'd probably buy a ticket because the payout-to-odds ratio is more tolerable than most lottery games. However I wouldn't buy more than one ticket.

I bought 10 $20 tickets in FL. Didn't win anything, but would sure do it again. Better odds and good payouts.

I do plan on buy 2 or 3 raffle ticket in Tennessee. I just hope they have some left when I get back home in early Feb. lol. I think Tennessee will be like most states and snatch them up.
