Yes, what they all said as far as the bills being paid, etc.

But also, it's no different, maybe even better than; coming home with two cases of beer.

By the same token, think about it - you are asking our opinion on a LOTTERY website, what do you expect us to say

As long as the bills are paid and everything's taken care before purchasing them I wouldn't see it as a problem. As long as bf keeps it in perspective and realizes the odds it's ok. But if there's an obsessive spin on it, or he is buying them out of desperation then I'd be worried. Keep it fun and look at it as a game of checkers but don't be upset if you lose because that's the reality. It's hard to say what is too much. I know people who think spending $10 a week is too much! I probably shouldn't blow the $40 or $50 a month do now. When I had a good, steady job and felt lucky, sometimes I spent $20 (but not more!) However, I don't think I have the right to judge someone else. Many people on this board say they spend $10 a day.

I think you 2 need to sit down and discuss this matter. Also, you didn't mention how serious your relationship is, and if he's only a boyfriend... [ More ]

If your BF is not in debt over his head. Is paying for everything he needs. and has a good income i don't see it as a problem. I often worked overtime for extra cash to buy special things and play the lottery. my bills are always paid on time and no creditors are calling me about late payments.

Addiction is usually defined by a person having a problem with some form of abuse. And not being in control of ones addiction.
