Those things are not the issue.<br /><br />You guys have heard of Rube_Goldberg machines, I am sure.<br /><br />I am trying to do something in a way that I already know would be  inefficient .<br /><br />I&#x27;m not looking to overclock, change my BIOS, or anything like that.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>The applications that benefit from powerful GPUs are mainly games and high-end CAD applications used for 3-dimensional modeling of objects.  I can&#x27;t think of anything related to the lottery that would be helped by a powerful GPU.<br /><br />If you want to increase the computational power of your PC, get a multi-core CPU, more RAM (at least 1GB) and a fast SATA hard drive with lots of room.  I personally like the Athlon 64 bit processors if I get the choice. There are other (more efficient) options for gaining more computational power.<br /><br />It&#x27;s not so much a matter of  needing  the extra power. I&#x27;m just wanting to know if/how anyone has gone about doing it. As an analogy, some guys spend entire weekends (and hundreds of dollars) modding their cars to shave a tenth of a second off their quarter-mile time.<br /><br />Does anyone really have to be in a place so near, so soon? 			<description><![CDATA[<p>Graphic processors typically do not have any  idle  time even when you are doing nothing with the computer. If your after processor power, I suggest you consider dual and/or multiple processor based units. Or, perhaps even consider RISC based processor systems. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>Since some higher end graphics (video) cards now have their own processor and memory, I&#x27;m thinking it should be possible to do some number crunching within the GPU as well as the CPU. Anyone done anything like programming into their GPU? A lot of these cards have more proc power than entire older computers.</p>]]></description>
