I forsee a National lottory within the next 5 years. This one will supplant MM and Powerball, turning both into one big national lotto. The states will share based upon the number of tickets they sell. This gigantic lotto will be run out of Washington D.C. with all the profits going to the children .

There will be scandals galore punctuated by brief periods of sanity.

I could go on but I blieve you get my point.

There will be matrix changes, there will be more RNG drawings, to the dismay of most of us all, but the single biggest thing that will occur is this:

The lotteries will continue to make money hand over fist.

There will be winners but many more losers....

What i'll like to see is for them to make a movie of the lottery (example, someone trying to beat it and achieving it), i think it will be a good market..because the only one i seen Lucky numbers it isn't that good...

If in the next 5 years they increase the payout of the lottery or the lottery goes up for 500 million or 700 dollars i see them making a movie about it...They should make a movie like Ocean 11 12 or the new Smoking aces with Ben Affleck...I think they should make a movie wit... [ More ]

In the next 5 years, I definitely see the the first half billion dollar lottery happening. I just will have to buy my tickets an entire month in advance, which I am pretty close to doing anyway. But the country will be in total pandomonium about a jackpot that large. And if any one person were to win that amount, they will need to hire top notch security.

After watching lotteries shoot themselves in the foot by making changes that make things worse (see the Florida lottery web site). I suspect greed to suck more money from consumers and stupitity as to what we want will lead to a decline in the games that will be blamed on us. I also predict some lotteries will be sold, there will be a scandal, people will go to jail.

Definitely more states will go to RNG drawings. Also, more and more states will be looking to sell their lottery programs to private companies, since the free-spending politicians can't seem to live within a budget, and they want to dig into every niche and cranny they can to dig up money to cover their own failures.

Size of jackpots? Who knows what they may grow to...

No national lottery. It would dilute the money received by the individual states, and there are too many partisan interes... [ More ]

a record jackpot thats more than half a billion?

a national lottery for all states?

more lotteries being privatized?
