The best way to find out the answers to all questions regarding all Ontario, Canada games is to call the OLG Commission at 1-800-387-0098 . For English, Press 1...French, Press 2...Then, for General Inquiries, Press 7.

I just did that, and spoke in English to a Mike , because he didn't speak Italian :) , and like all other Public Relations Reps at OLG, he had to keep consulting his managers and manuals to hopefully give me the correct answers, if I'm lucky!

Hey, LottohackJack, I beleive Ontario keno is computerized, I believe most Keno games are..

but going back to the topic under discussion what Lottohackjack is saying is absoultely true.

So I think to win you have to correctly identify the number groups that are going to be active that night.

On some nights you will find 7 numbers coming from one number group such as 40-50, if you play that group and another

group with 4 numbers -- then you are in business.

Of course you are right about roughly half the numbers in half the field, I would say it alternates back and forth 9/11, 11/9 almost daily. I had been convinced of this strategy sometime last year to only choose from a portion of the field. I remember being diappointed in it, not because the results did not bear out the prediction of where the numbers would be, but because I am so bad at choosing numbers, it's really not funny.

In Ontario, Canada, we have a 20/70 keno game where you can pick from 2 to 10 numbers per game while 20 out of 70 total numbers in the field are drawn. This is just as difficult to beat at a profit as any other keno game, even though the odds appear to be and actually are much better than in your New York keno game. Keno is a teaser and a wild roller-coaster ride that will keep you in the poor house.

I know it does indeed suck, but as you say there are reliable patterns, I just can't seem to hit with the right strategy at the right time.

Tonight was a bust for example, I only got 4 out of 16. The trend went off track. I have to watch for several days using this new filter and see if it alternates day by day or what.

Yeah..it takes a few tries to win Keno..the problem I see with your Keno is that the lower tier prizes really suck, so if you lose a few times you are out of the game. In Ontario as long as you play the 4 / 20 game you can win $100 ....sometimes several times a week, the odds are 1/189. That way you have money to pay for tickets and stay in the game.

Yeah, today I ended up playing 16 numbers 5 repeats from the +/- last hit group and 5 or 6 of the overdues, and then a few "flags" or +1 from the last hit group that was not also in the +/- overdue group. I chose the repeats with the least hits in 20 games...let's see what happens, I am very curious to see if a pattern of repeats in the overlap group exists.

The amount of numbers from the +/- group that showed up in the last 3 drawn group was about15.

yes..these are randomly generated numbers they are confusing to make it harder for anyone

to win. There are too many variables to keep track of, it's like trying a hit a moving target.

Did you check the hits for the numbers that came the last few draws eg:

for Ont Keno, many numbers being drawn seem to come from numbers with 2 to 3 hits, based on 10 draws.

That may help you eliminate some numbers. For our lottery numbers with 5 hits/10 draws seem to be considered

So I was wondering if you think it's meaningful when the numbers from the overdue set and the numbers from the last hit set overlap?? Do you know what I mean? Some of the numbers in the plus and minus the overdue group show up in the numbers plus and minus the last hit group...in this last draw tonight and the previous draw, 18 numbers overlapped, and within the group of 18 from tonight...4 of the possible 5 repeats appeared!! Your Keno is tougher to win big $$ ..over here 7/20 with $2 bet = $10,000

9/20 =$50, 000 with $1 bet, even 6 numbers gets you a $1,000 at $1 bet

but when I look at your old results ..I think your numbers are easier to crack than ours.

Yes, we get 10 spots per line, 20 numbers drawn out of 70.

No we can't do that with the daily game, the quick draw you can, place lower bets, but it's impossible to use strategies with draws that happen every 5 min. We have prizes below 10 of 10 sure, 6 of 10 is $10, 7=$40, 8=$300, 9=$6,000...you get 10 spots per line though, right?

prizes below 10/20 ? Over here 8/20 pays $25,000

You don't always have to wheel the expensive way, you can create pairs

then wheel the pairs.

1. 11-18

2.22-24

3.37-39

4.40-48

then

1-2-3

1-2-4

2-3-4

where 1,2,3,4 are your pairs

about my mirror pairs...they have proven to be somewhat less than reliable. I would say on average I get 6 from the previous nights draw, e.g: if 42 hits, 2 will hit the next day etc...so 6 of those usually, but other times only one or two will occur, so it's something to consider but can be erratic. the thing is I never even thought to look at mirrors of overdues, I was calling anything out more than 3 games cold, but I like your way, it really narrows it down. Yes, except if you split the board at the 40 number mark ..I think you will find most nights

the distibution to be about 50-50 between high and low.

So instead you should target the number groups that you think will be active.

I use to play keno also, I would seperate the numbers 1-40 and 41-80. I noticed some draws there were alot of high numbers so I would concentrate my picks on the low numbers, it helped me to filter them a little more. This could help you eliminate a few numbers. I would also keep track of even/odd ratio. Good Luck

Keno is my favourite game. Unfortunatelly it is not here in Illinois, so I don't play it.

Also I do not have any filters or systems to share :(

Well..you were on the right track, you said up to 14 numbers are from within the last 3 draws right ?

So you have to do some work with overdue #s. Play combinations around adjacent to the overdue members.

Works for other lotteries too !

Those are your key to winning.

For the numbers repeating from previous draw ( about 6 if your lottery is the same as ours)

look at the hit ratio of the numbers - pick the number with lower hits. You should be able to find the

I will try them today. I was adding and subtracting 1 and 2 to my mirrors and hits but never tried with overdues. This should be a great help. It sounds like you do great! I knew Keno was winnable!

Here are some suggestions for filtering your numbers. I play Ontario Keno 20/70 -- I have done ok, last year $16,000 gross.

1-Do spreadsheet with overdue numbers,

(numbers not played the last 6 days +)

For each number (+1) and (-1) then (+2) and (-2)

Do this for some of your old draws, compare with

results, I think you will find 12 correct numbers on average in the -1 and +1 columns

2-Do above with numbers played last night..with some luck you will find 10-12 numbers on average also.

I would not play it!

Other people have said it's good to bet on 4 numbers only and don't over-do it.

There are books about electronic keno that are supposed to be good but I don't know. It's impossible to use my strategies with those games.

I like to wheel 16 so 11 out of 16 is pretty good!

But, I have no filter to get rid of those 30 losers. I feel like I am on the brink of a great discovery, but it keeps slipping away.

Hey Pilot, I thought you were talking about the every three minutes keno like in a casino. I didn't realize they have daily 1 draw keno style game (aka Pick 10) in N.Y. Sorry about the misguided interjection. In MD. we have a every 3 min keno game you can go and play at the local beer/wine, bar, gas station, or wherever every 3 min.. On this one you can win up to 1MIL. with the bonus. Anyway good luck!

OK so I will give you more details:

Pick 10 draws 20 numbers of 80 every day. of those 20, 4-6 are repeats from the last drawing...10-14 are numbers that hit in the last 3 drawings, and 5-7 are numbers out more than 3 games or "cold" numbers. Since I only need to Pick 10...I focus on the last 3 draws.

Adjacent numbers hit often so, if 42 hits I would play 43 or 41 or both maybe.

Recently I looked at mirror numbers. The mirror numbers of the field are 1=41 2=42

Well Amazing Grace, I watch the numbers religiously and follow the patterns like I described in the original post, the mirror number thing is a new development and I back-tested for about 15 draws and it is rock solid. It does mean something when you can eliminate half the numbers - picking 10 of 40 instead of 10 of 80 is super cool BUT, it ain't easy - more need to be eliminated into an affordable wheel amount. Here is my keno advice, if you don't hit on the first draw, run away. This is the best advice you will ever get on keno. If you don't hit on that first bet, run, run fast, run away. If you follow this rule you will be ahead of the game. I have found this out by trial and error, if you are going to hit it will be from the get go. Once you hit on the first draw, leave with your winnings, do not try to grow your winnings! If it is going to happen, it will happen on the first draw.
