I am happy to report that it looks like the network issues have been corrected, so all those speed enhancements I implemented lately are now in full effect

I guess my pc just runs slow because the only thing I noticed was that my reply posts including someone else's post wasn't working.

This problem is still happening, so there must be some router, switch, or other part that they have not yet been able to replace. This is the one kind of problem which there is nothing I can do about it, so we'll just have to slog through another day of slow speeds.

I've been noticing that for a couple of days, until about 5 minutes ago when I got a runtime error on my screen. I waited for a few minutes, and now it's lightning fast.

I'm sure regular Lottery Post visitors have noticed that the site has been slow today. I wanted to let you all know that the slowness is due to some kind of network issues at one of the network providers feeding the data center that Lottery Post is housed in.

I have been assured that network engineers are working on the problem right now, and hope to have it solved shortly. My experience with these things leads me to believe that it may get fixed sometime in the wee hours of the night. So... [ More ]
